About this project
Somnio is a low-budget feature film that will be shot in the spring of 2013 in Los Angeles, California.
The story involves one man held captive in a fully automated prison. He is kept alive and interrogated by a computerized jailer and his only means of psychological escape is to live in an imaginary world with the woman he loves. He suspects something has happened to the outside world and the computer is continuing to follow its fail safe protocol. He is forced to outsmart the computerized prison in order to escape, in hopes of returning to a world and a woman that may already be gone.

Risks and challenges
We are making a feature film on a fraction of what most films cost to produce. Our challenges are immense but being surrounded by talented individuals that share the same passion and love for the world of cinema, I believe with your support we can create something quite unique and special.
We have a script, the cast, the crew, a location to build our set and the undying support of our friends and family. What we need is your support and the funding to pay for equipment rentals, set construction materials, sound design and post-production resources that are necessary to make the film the best way possible with limited financing.
Thank you so much for visiting our project and we hope to see your name in our credits or possibly even yourself in the film!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
If we reach our Kickstarter goal, production is set to begin in May and June. We've already begun pre-production steps; designing the set, building props and scouting locations.
If we reach our goal, we will be renting an industrial space in San Fernando Valley where the prison cell will be constructed. Other locations for the "dream world" sequences will be in assorted locations in downtown Los Angeles, North Hollywood, Mojave and Malibu.
No, and that is why we really need your help! Without the funding, unfortunately production will have to stop. We will always search for a way to make our movie but this is our one shot at making a unique film with a dedicated and talented group of individuals who are available now.
