About

The patent pending magnetic repulsion generator is designed to utilize magnetic repulsion to rotate an axle, to in turn rotate the axle of a standard electricity generator, to in turn produce electricity, all while using commodity materials and without the use of an external fuel source thus driving an expected 10x+ cost reduction per unit of output in the production of clean energy compared to all existing and proposed alternatives.

Note that the units are expected to operate with a thirty year lifespan, as a result of a loss of energy in the system from the repulsive magnetic fields degrading over time, and are not free to produce, thus do not provide perpetual motion or free energy, and as explained below, operate in a manner entirely consistent with the laws of physics.

Why did the baby elephant have to buy luggage for vacation? You have to read through to the end of the profile for the answer to this cliffhanger.

If the unit functions as expected, then another Kickstarter campaign is expected to be launched that will sell units, which will likely initially be portable chargers for laptops and phones, and or home generators to support disconnecting from the electrical grid.  Because the units are expected to, when optimally manufactured, output clean electricity at a cost of more than ten times less than any other current or proposed system, the invention would alleviate urgent global problems, including climate change, pollution, poverty through a reduction in cost of living, and unaffordable transport.  If you would like to see units, if proven functional, offered for sale, then your contribution to this campaign is crucial and time sensitive.

Technical Summary

Magnetic repulsion is performed by affixing permanent magnets, manufactured to retain their directional force, in a circular formation along an inner magnet holder, resembling a wheel, suspended in the center by an axle, fit inside an outer magnet holder, containing magnets in a circular formation, where all magnets are oriented to provide repellent force to the inner magnet holder, and are angled, spaced, and insulated in such a way that the non-liner nature of magnetic fields is accounted for so that each provides force on only on one side of the inner magnet holder axle, causing the inner magnet holder to spin continuously.  Energy is expected to captured in the system as a result of slowly degrading repulsive magnetic fields providing rotational force to the axle of a commodity electrical generator.  Think of the outer magnet structure as wind in the form of magnetic fields and the inner magnet structure as wind turbine blades.

Exhaustive Technical Disclosure

For those seeking to review exhaustive technical details, including in order to verify expected cost reductions by calculating component and material costs as well as a lack of storage and transmission costs versus output over expected lifespan compared to alternatives, the provisional patent may be reviewed, which further details layered magnetic shielding used to control and direct magnetic fields to cause continuous rotation, which is missing in the aesthetic prototype demonstrated in the profile video, as illustrated in FIG. 1A on page 45, and explained in paragraph 62 on page 29 of the provisional patent: http://www.bannonmaher.com/bannon_maher_magnetic_repulsion_motor_and_generator_uspto_certified.pdf

Required Funding and Expenditures

Proceeds will support the costs associated with the production of a properly produced prototype, including materials, machining, salaries, the production of videos and supporting materials for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign, patent and legal expenses, and other expenses at the discretion of the inventor.  The campaign goal is a minimum and there is no maximum, because the more money raised the more likely a functional unit will be produced and the higher the quality the final manufacturing design of the units will be that are made available for sale if proven functional.  There's no question that a prototype can be manufactured as designed with a large enough amount of funding, because an aesthetic prototype has been produced as demonstrated in the video, the only question is whether or not it works as expected.

Future Campaign

Units are expected to be sold in the upcoming Kickstarter campaign, and are expected to be portable and sized to fit in a backpack for charging a laptop and phone, and or that are designed to be able to power a house to allow disconnection from the power grid.  Electric vehicles could potentially integrate the unit for continuous charging, but integration would require rewiring the vehicle, since the electric vehicles have software that prevents motion while a charger is attached.

Intangible Benefits

Because the invention is completely clean and expected to provide a cost reduction per unit output of more than 10x, it is expected to make irrelevant all other sources of energy production and storage, while resolving urgent global problems.

I expect your support will be providing a service to all the world.

About Me

I am the founder, Chair, and C.E.O. of Bannon Maher Corporation, which is running this campaign.  I recently submitted provisional and non-provisional patents on 18 of my inventions including the one disclosed in this profile. Prior to that, I was the first full time employee at inquest.net, whose network security software, as publicly disclosed by others, now protects more than 2 million users primarily in the U.S. federal government, including users of classified U.S. military networks. Prior to that, I was a candidate for the United States Senate at age 29, wrote software which was used to scale a startup hedge fund from zero to billions of dollars in assets under management in one year, had music I wrote and recorded licensed for shows on MTV and VH1 and ranked in the top 1% against major label releases by an independent audit of hundreds of listeners, wrote and published three books available through Amazon including The Destiny of Humanity, endorsed and implemented by world leaders, Building a Successful Organization, endorsed by a former public company executive, and most recently Inventions, disclosing eighteen of my inventions. The King of Cambodia wrote of The Destiny of Humanity "I am confident that this book will surely attract public attention to the important task of building a peaceful and prosperous world for all." The Prime Minister of Cape Verde wrote The Destiny of Humanity is "A pointing of horizons an goals to which we must be aware... the quest for harmony and a blend of attitudes that could reach the heights of the global and total dignity of human beings." I graduated from the University of San Diego, ranked by the Financial Times in 2015 as third in the world for entrepreneurship, with recommendation from the President and Dean, and completed Oxford University coursework.

Risks and challenges

The first principal risk is that the invention doesn't function or provide benefits as expected. A physical aesthetic prototype of the invention is already presented in this profile, and the only known technical challenge or uncertainty at this point is constraining the magnetic fields as explained in the video and detailed in the patent.

The second principal risk is that the cost to produce a functional unit exceeds funds raised. This risk can be mitigated by those who are reading this contributing funds to this project to the extent possible, and encouraging friends, family, and colleagues to contribute funds to this project. There may be no upper limit to the funds that can be usefully deployed.
