We are launching an unreleased NTSC Format SNES cartridge title created in Japan. This is the first ever release on an SNES console.
Use this space to cheer the creator along, and talk to your fellow backers.
Have a question?
I see that it is now possible to buy the game on pre-order at Amazon.com but it will not ship outside of the US. Please organise a European distributor as there are many SNES fans in Europe who would love a new game for the system, and many of us own NTSC SNES as well.
Seeing how these are ex-SNK members I'm guessing this is a capcom/SNK style fighter. However if you check out the other video kicking around youtube it looks more like Killer Instinct. Does anyone actually know what the fighting style is?
I am sad to see this wasn't funded :( Please keep your backers in the know if you find another way to release this :) Best of luck and hope to hear from you all soon! :D
Sorry to see this project wasn't funded. I have hope for the future that you'll find another way to bring unholy night to market. Best of luck to you.
So where can this be purchased for those not living in Japan?
The deadline is looming and the pledge amount is some distance from target. You really need to manage the social media side of these campaigns to get retro gaming projects off the ground. Good luck with the time remaining and please communicate with your backers how we might purchase the game if the goal is not met vai kickstarter.
i will still purchase a cart copy of this game in any color or region code if the project doesn't meet its funding. i was really looking forward to this as a new snes fighting game. good luck with the remaining few days! =)
I really hope:
A) The creators get online and remind us they're alive. We're here because we support you, just let us know what's going on and everything else is gravy!
B) That this project meets its funding goal and finds its way into my gaming library. What form that takes is up to you. Please don't do this much work just to stop now!
YOU CAN DO THIS!!! Good luck in the final countdown!
Seems like this campaign was meant to be more of an advertisement piece than that of a real attempt. Create some hype, fail, watch everyone buy the Japanese version, release the NA version months later, watch those same people buy the NA version. If this succeeds, we'd only need the NA version.
Looks like peopl are pulling their pledges now (seems to have gotten down) bummer. Was hoping to get this. Hope there will be a different campaign that will have more support and possibly require less amount for success.
Officially pulling my pledge. Over 2 weeks of silence from a company while a campaign is running and questions and doubts are building. Won't give them my money even if the game is ever released. This is a disgrace.
At this point, it looks like it's time to stick a fork in the project.
Slam Dunk campaign ruined by complete lack of communication. . . damned shame . . .it leaves a bitter taste for backers
If this doesn't get backed will you provide a store where we can buy some cartridges from directly?
I dropped my pledge down to $1 from Gold Cart because I couldn't figure out how to pull it entirely.
I'd be more willing to reinstate my pledge if there was more transparency between BlazePro and backers, primarily in terms of the contents of the packages, as well as several questions that have been asked in the comments below, but have yet to be addressed, with only 8 days left in the campaign.
You get out what you put in, guys. If you put in enough over the next week, I'm sure you'll hit your mark. :)
Guys; 25$ to ship a cart only to Switzerland is way overrated.
Another issue is that many people here will not back because it's american snes carts only; we need to trim down our SNES to fit them...
So offering a SFC/Pal SNES cart would help you.
At least offer the option of not geeting the cart case but only the pcb and sticker so that we can fit it in a sfc game case.
Offer boxes and booklets as well; if you're only giving a cart, why would people back and bot wait to see if they can't just cartmod it? ;)
I waited a lot to back up because of these and I'm probably on par with most people here.
I believe those are the Japanese version of this game, not that there would be much of a language barrier for a game like this. I'd still prefer an English translation, seeing how it's already done.
I'm starting to have some serious doubts about this Campaign ever getting funded. Honestly, if you don't want to miss out on getting this game, I think you are better off pre-ordering it from either Nin-Nin-Game.com or Play-Asia.com. The game will be release at the end of this month. Even if this Campaign is funded, which isn't likely to happen, who knows when Blazepro will send us the game, they haven't exactly been very forthcoming with information.
Shame. . .this SHOULD have been funded by now, what's going on Blazepro?!?!?
Still no news...
the project has been dropped?
Do you think maybe we should tell eventhubs or shoryuken? Maybe they can increase exposure a little
I'm kinda getting the same vibe, I pledge for the duel (Smoke & Gold) cart, but I have a feeling with out more information and lack of response from Blazepro this project will not be funded. so I ended up pre-ordering the game from Nin-Nin-Game.com just in case.
Not liking the lack of communication on this project. I may pull my pledge regardless if it gets funded.
Yeah, this really would be funded by now if there were a few more details and pics given.
@Blazepro please answer our questions asap.
I think that this game need more work about publishing/marketing like more stretch goals visible to all . A Photo of the controller could be nice, even someone who answer fast to our questions would be a nice thing. ^_^
At this rate the game risk to not be founded at all :/
@Blazepro Please confirm that the $100 smoke cart + gold cart + controller bundle will come with separate box art and game manual for each cart. Thanks!
Nevermind answered my second question by looking at older comments. Would still like to confirm the boxes.
Backed at the new highest tier. Would love to see some reasons to give more but I don't need any more copies of the game.
Does the bundle with both cartridges include boxes and manuals for both?
Is the third party controller customized in any way with the name of the game etc, or is it just a random controller from the local game shop? I have more than enough controllers already and prefer first party, but if it is custom that would be worth having.
Smoke cart + Gold cart + Controller bundle added!
@Blazepro @SouthtownArcade I also hope you strongly consider standard snes NTSC box art. Excited for what's to come!
If there were a reward tier for one smoke cart + one gold cart + controller, I'd totally go for that.
Stretch goals will help quite a bit. Also recommend art book, enamel pins and CD soundtrack too.
Any details on the actual frame rate of the game? I noticed all the vids have been in 480p, so I was wondering if the game actually runs at 60 fps or not?
How do I go about pledging for the limited edition cartridge as well as the standard edition + controller?
Also I don't know if this has been asked but will the 70$ dollar backers get the controller as well?
Will the gold cart be gold plastic or a painted cart? The clear smoke looks much better in the picture which is why I ask.
Hope this game get's funded, pledged $75!
Backed at the $35 level. Would have preferred a double-option to get both the gold and smoke. Without that, I had to go for the one that looks the most visually appealing in your photos.
Does a controller come with the Gold Cartridge pledge ?
I really want to see this happen and backed at the highest level, but so far this seems to be going like most campaigns that make the highest reward the standard product, or in this case a slightly special edition, for under $100. The successful campaigns seem to be the ones that offer further rewards like credit in the game or instruction book, posters, limited edition art, dinner with the devs, signed games, T shirts etc. It is very hard to reach a goal this big on only such small pledges, requiring every $70 to be at least one person wanting a copy of the game, but I hope it happens. You could have some devs sign some copies and charge an extra $50 most likely. Many of the campaigns this reminds me of re-launched a second Kickstarter with more rewards and were eventually funded. Best wishes for sure, I want this game, but something to think of if it doesn't make it the first time. If there was a reason to give more I'd consider it, as I often back at higher levels when the stuff's cool.
Hi @Tim Richard, We will be adding more information. Thank you for your suggestion!
The campaign could use some more info. What modes are in the game, does it come with a manual, how does it play, etc...
@Southtown Arcade Yeah, I just read through the page all the way and saw that the game has been fully developed already. Hopefully enough funding comes in, because I definitely would like a cart of this game.
@Thomas Ammons, I believe the purpose of this Kickstarter is to release a physical NTSC version of the game. Thus, adding a ROM as incentive doesn't really fit in, but I do agree that licensing an emulator like higan and releasing the game on Steam makes sense (a Steam code could also be offered as an incentive).
Not everyone has a SNES or the space for one today, even if I do. I would suggest that you all offer a ROM option in the kickstarter. It would open you all up to more backers! Good luck, and I'm looking forward to the game.
Don't have a snes these days but happy to support, hope to see on a virtual console someday!
The campaign doesn't make it quite clear. Do we only get a cartridge for our pledge, or do we also get a manual and box as well? The campaign is for a US style cartridge and manual etc, correct? The game is also available to pre-order through Amazon Japan ( https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B01MUDW5EQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1… ), I take it the Kickstarter here is completely independent of that? I was waiting to possibly order there until I saw some possible packaging shots, assuming they exist.
Hi Fluxcore. Thank you! Yes, a manual will be revealed in the coming days :) We have one partially done. We would love to launch other cartridge formats. Will look into that and get back to you guys. Thank you.
Awesome to see such a project. Will there be a manual included? What are the options for those of us that would prefer a SFC cartridge? Playasia?
Hi Andrew Moore, That could be a possibility :)
