I just realized I never received my popsockets from 5+ years ago. :(

    2. David Barnett Creator on December 5, 2013

Just fixed the issue, Rudolf. Let me know if there's any further problems. Thanks, David

    3. RMP on December 5, 2013

Hi again :) I just tried to order some more PopSockets but when trying to check out I got the message that shipping isn't offered to my destination(Norway). Can you please fix this?

    4. David Barnett Creator on December 4, 2013

Erin and Rudolf -- I think I'd better start stretching. Your love for PopSockets makes me want to dance again.

    5. Erin Dougherty on December 4, 2013

I love these things! The crazy colors are even better in real life. Once I put the PopSockets on my iPad, the colors look better than I imagined. The quality is really great. You can feel the sturdiness of the accordion when you pop them. These are incredibly useful. I use them every time I use my iPad. Now to discover all the other uses...

    6. RMP on December 4, 2013

Got my PopSockets just now. Very impressed with the quality and packaging. This was so worth the wait! Unlimited possibilities of use for this brilliant little invention.

I just noticed you sent me an extra pair too!

I'm going to order more right now! :)

I love that you love your PopSockets, Brad. I love that your neighbor has been all over it. But what I really really love -- tell me what you love, what you really really love -- is your last name.

Got my pop sockets, love them! Gave one to my neighbor, he's been all over it. Sorry for everything you had to go through, but good stuff!

Ugh, that sounds like 'fun', well here's to keeping your sanity while you do that!

    10. David Barnett Creator on October 30, 2013

Hi Brad. It's going. My supplier of the reusable adhesive conceded that the first production run was weaker than the samples, and his company finished remaking the new sheets of adhesive yesterday. Now it needs to be cut, express shipped, and assembled. In the meantime, we've been working our fingers bloody removing the weak gel from 30,000 PopSockets.

    11. Brad Dancer
      on October 30, 2013

How's it going? Any word on the adhesive?

      Hi Sam,
I'll send another update very soon. I've sent 34 updates so far, which is a lot for some backers who prefer to get only the good news when it's ready. The first order of PopSockets For All is scheduled to ship from our factory next week. We'll ship it by air so it arrives soon thereafter. Then we'll send out notices to all the backers so they can choose their colors, if they'd like PopSockets For All instead of waiting for the iPhone 5 case, which still has problems and will not be ready for market for some time. Thanks, David

    13. Sam Mendez on August 26, 2013

Hi David, what´s happend with this project, why not send more updates?

      Please, project is reliable?

    14. David Barnett Creator on August 23, 2013

      Hi Lanthe,

Of course. I'll send it now by PayPal. Sometime down the road you might try adding a couple PopSockets For All on your case-less device -- I find that anyone who tries them gets addicted to their gripping functions and misses them when they're gone. Thanks, David

    15. iolanthe chronis on August 22, 2013

      Hi David --

I find that I don't use any sort of case anymore. Can I have a refund?

    16. David Barnett Creator on August 3, 2013

      Hi Valentina,
Your refund is on its way, via PayPal.

I'm on it, Raj. I'll update tonight... It's a bit of a catch 22, since I've had so many backers tell me they don't want any more updates until the case is ready.

Anymore news to share on the progress of the cases?

    25. David Barnett Creator on March 11, 2013

Hi Sam, Hopefully you've been getting my updates; some backers have not, unfortunately. In any case, the answer is yes. My factory was off for over two weeks for Chinese New Year holiday, but they're back at work now, trying to iron out the last few wrinkles in PopSockets. The adjustments to the steel tools will be done on Friday, and new tests will be run on Saturday. Thanks for checking in!

    26. Sam Mendez on March 11, 2013

Hi David, what happens with the project? Its possible manufacture the Pop Sockets?

    27. David Barnett Creator on January 31, 2013

Hi Brett, I share your frustrations. As for materials, unfortunately it's not possible to prototype in the same materials as the production quality parts, so it's not possible to know for sure which materials will work, especially for the crucial accordion part, which has turned out to be quite tricky to get just right. I'm in contact with the factory every night to try to get the problems resolved. Unfortunately, it's a painfully slow process, with several weeks separating each new round of parts, which come with new problems. As for a date, I wish I could promise February, but given the Chinese New Year Holiday coming up, which closes all factories for over a week, the cases are not likely to be ready until March. I'm happy to refund your pledge at any point. David

    28. Brett Alan on January 31, 2013

Well, i have practically forgot about this. Its almost been a year since this campaign started. I mean lets face it, this isnt some tech breakthrough project either- its just an iphone case. I understand determining the materials to be used has become difficult. I feel like these types of details should have been figured out prior, no?.....When can we be expecting these cases?..... Hard to believe there is no date at this point.

    29. David Barnett Creator on December 15, 2012

It has been a bit frustrating, Julie. Glad you're still excited. I've not yet sent out the survey to my backers. I did get the first parts from the factory a couple days ago, and I'll post an update soon. I'll offer an iPhone 5 case and PopSockets For All for the iPhone 4 and all other devices.

I'm still excited for my PopSockets and I can't even imagine how frustrating this past year has been for you . . . just want to make sure I didn't miss the part where your hundreds of backers each get tell you whether or not we've upgraded to the iPhone5 (I have) and which style of case we want if we get a choice (I'd love to have one of each because my daughter inherited my iPhone4) and you get to keep track of all of that, too ;-). Thanks.

    31. David Barnett Creator on December 10, 2012

Thank you, Matthew, for being the Huzzah beneath my wings. I should receive the first PopSockets from the production molds tomorrow! I'll send out an update soon.

    32. Matthew Arnold on December 10, 2012

I second Albert's comment. This is something I am looking forward too as much now as before. So glad it didn't end up dead in the water. Appreciate the hard work David.

      Huzzah! for you.

    33. David Barnett Creator on December 1, 2012

Terrific, Albert! Thanks for the support. Looks like the parts are all coming out of the molds now, so I should have the first PopSockets cases in hand late next week or early the following week. I'll keep you posted. David

    34. Albert Lim on November 30, 2012

Thanks for the update David. No, I'm more than willing to wait for my popsocket! Thanks for suffering thru the ups and downs of getting your dream realized. I'm behind you 100%!

    35. David Barnett Creator on November 7, 2012

Hi Albert, We finally have the green light to move forward with all 7 molds for the PopSockets parts. People in the industry say this stage takes 3 to 4 weeks, followed by a couple weeks of revisions to the molds. But so far nothing has taken the standard time, so I'm trying to be realistic with an early January launch of the product. It's no problem at all if you want a refund. You can always pick up a PopSockets case down the line. Just shoot me your PayPal email if that sounds good!

    36. Albert Lim on November 7, 2012

      Hi David,
Any update on the iPhone 5 case? I've been holding out from buying a case for my new phone, but I'm getting serious anxiety and I think I'm starting to notice nicks and scratches that aren't there. Please help!

Hey there Atalio, I haven't seen the video yet, but the available specs are consistent with what I was expecting, so that's good news. We'll move forward as fast as possible on this.

Just watched the iPhone 5 product videos. Wow! Apple’s done it again. Glad we pushed for the iPhone 5 case. Let’s not worry about supporting relics (beyond that provided by the sticky gel PopSockets).

The iPhone 5 + PopSockets case will be a killer combo!

      Hey David,
      I want my $2! (…)
Just kidding. Good luck with everything -- you deserve it -- and keep us posted on the case-mate discussions.
I know you'll deliver an amazing product.

    45. David Barnett Creator on September 11, 2012

Hey C Cowles, Thanks for the support! I'm more than hanging in here, I've got the bull by the horns and will deliver an awesome product to you before too long. As for Case-Mate, I spoke with them today, and they too are quite disappointed that the molds they built for PopSockets are not up to my satisfaction. Hopefully we'll work something out that seems fair to everyone involved. I'll keep you posted. In the very meantime, stay cool!

      Hey PopSockets
I am behind you 100%. YOU have done your work and then some. Unfortunately, Case-Mate has dropped the ball repeatedly and left you out to dry. I certainly won't be purchasing any more cases from them - and I have many times in the past. Case-Mate needs to step up and take some serious action to get this project back to where it was moving before they set it back 6 months. Your product is amazing and the way Case-Mate has handled PopSockets is shameful. Hang in there! I will.

    47. David Barnett Creator on September 6, 2012

Got it, Jimmy. You'll get a couple iPhone 5 cases for every iPhone 4 case that I promised you.

Hi David, not sure if I missed the survey. Please change mind to iPhone 5 instead of for iPhone 4.

    49. David Barnett Creator on September 4, 2012

Thanks for the advice, Aseem. I'll take it!

    50. Aseem Kishore on September 4, 2012

I think this should be a lesson for any other Kickstarter project you do. First, use the money and do it yourself and then if you have offers for a buyout, go with those after you deliver the product to the people who backed you. I've backed a lot of Kickstarter projects and every one of them has delivered except this one. Not happy.
