Would you steal a painting worth millions if you could get away with it? What if you went to steal the painting and another thief was right there trying to steal the same painting? Would you have the skills to out-steal your opponent?
In the fun new game, Stealing Mona Lisa, you can find out!
Stealing Mona Lisa is a casual “card drafting” card game that is for ages 5 and older, for 3 to 7 (yes 7!) players, that plays in about half an hour. Our many play testers have found it to be easy to learn and lots of fun!
Please check out the pledge levels to the right to find the best one for you. See below for a how to play video, previews/reviews, add-ons, stretch goals, and more information.
These are additions you can make to any pledge level. To do so, click the button for the backer level you want and then when prompted add the additional amount in the $ box and make a note of what you are adding on.
1. For $10 (per bag) you choose to add on to your backer level we'll send you a beautiful burgundy velvet bag with “Stealing Mona Lisa” embroidered on it.
2. For $5 (per game) you can have us gift wrap the game.
3. For $1 (per game) you can have the designers of the game sign the game. The game will arrive to you out of shrink so the designers could sign it. Please specify in the remarks where on the game you would like it signed or they will just sign the back in Sharpie.

1. "I have played it with both my game group and my family and have enjoyed it a lot" - Undead Viking
2. "Stealing Mona Lisa was immediately fun. The rules were explained, we jumped right in, and everyone had a blast. The game, while not being humorous in and of itself, led to quite a lot of laughter around the table. More and more, I’m looking for games that encourage lighthearted laughter and Stealing Mona Lisa certainly fits the bill." - Boardgame Authority
"Stealing Mona Lisa is a clever game that has more going on than one might think. It combines card drafting, bluffing, simultaneous player action, and set collection with a fun theme. The small footprint and easy to learn rules make Stealing Mona Lisa a great family game. Because of its quick play time, Stealing Mona Lisa is also a perfect filler or intro game to start off gaming night. I can see this game getting a lot of play time, regardless of the type of gamer at the table." - Boardgame Authority

In this Kickstarter we have decided to separate shipping from the cost of the game. A lot of Kickstarters say “free shipping” which of course just means they added it into the cost of the game. We could add the two numbers together too, but we thought you would like to see how much of what you are spending goes to shipping. Until we catch up with Star Trek technology we will all be paying for shipping one way or another. In future Kickstarters we may go back to including it. If you have an opinion on the matter please email us and tell us what you think and we'll take all opinions into consideration for the future.
Know Chance Games started in 2014. Owner Adam Whitney had been designing games since he literally “had a dream” in 2008. After he made a bunch of games he wanted to see published, he decided the right way to do that was to do it himself. He first wanted his company to deal with the lousy paper money you find in many boardgames, so he set to work making The Treasury (now available at KnowChanceGames.com and Amazon). That Kickstarter campaign was in early 2015 and was a great success. Since then The Treasury has enjoyed many, many positive reviews from customers and professional reviewers. Know Chance Games’ second Kickstarter was for Patrick Dillon’s Cabaret, a fun, quick, and beautiful trick-taking game. Again, Know Chance got great reviews from players and reviewers alike. It’s now in the production phase and available for preorder at KnowChanceGames.com). Then one day Adam’s former fiancee (now wife) Alycia came into his office and said she had an idea for a game. This was very interesting news to Adam, since Alycia was not an avid gamer. As you might have guessed, the idea was for Stealing Mona Lisa (originally titled “Art Attack”). They discussed the idea for several hours and then started to make a prototype. Even after about 100 playtests, very little has changed. One big change they had considered was making the game more complicated, but in the end they decided they liked the simplicity of Stealing Mona Lisa. Of course, expansions are always possible...
