What is Ghosts That We Knew?
Ghosts That We Knew is a short film about Becca, a young woman whose life isn't going right. Not only that, but she's forced to confront the embodiment of those doubts, leering shadows who jeeringly voice her fears.
Who's making this movie?
I'm Joshua Tong, the writer and director of this project. I’ve been making movies in one form or another since I was a twelve and been telling stories as long as I can remember. I started school at NYU two years ago and now I’m making my biggest movie yet. With me are Producer Natalia Rivas, Director of Photography McKenzie Zuleger, and Assistant Director Richard Kim and we've assembled a great crew in whom I have the utmost faith. All of us are students at NYU who, simply put, want to make movies and want to make good ones. We've put together an incredibly talented cast and I think we're making something great.

Why should I help you?
Movies cost money, plain and simple. We’re doing this without pay, but things like props, transportation, costumes, and food costs money. We need money so we can make this movie the best it can be.
Furthermore, support rising filmmakers. We, as a crew, are students. We're doing this to learn, to get better, and ultimately go on to make professional films. We're studying what we love and have an opportunity to put it into practice. Help us do what we love.
We've got a script, cast, and crew; now we need you.
Risks and challenges
Things can go wrong. It happens and we are all aware of that. A professor once told me that filmmaking is problem solving, and as a crew we've worked extremely hard in being versatile and adaptable. We are all extremely dedicated to this project and want to ensure the success of the project.
We've wrapped our shoot — it was incredible — and now we're entering post. Our data's backed up in at least three places; we're ready to edit. No matter what happens, we're finishing something.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
