About this project
This is a mechanical demo demonstrating the controls and animations in game. This is not any part of the story.
Right now we are releasing Empire Eden for PC/Mac/Linux -- Hopefully Steam Green Light/Gog. (If we get voted in!) :p
If we get the proper funding, we will be able to put it on more platforms. Our goal is to eventually get it on console networks like XBLA, PSN, OUYA, WII.
A cross between the greatest classics of all time, like Metal Slug, Contra Hard Corps, Metroid, Castlevania. -- In Empire Eden, you will experience heart pounding Run N' Gun areas, as well as high tempo puzzle filled RPG areas.
Along with melee attacks and rapid fire shoot outs, you will begin to unlock the secrets of the ancient animal spirits throughout the lands. With these spirit abilities, you will be able to navigate environments in a way unable before.
Using these animal forms, you will experience challenging jump/climb/swim/fly puzzles. Not to mention the multitude of magnificent boss fights that await. Bosses who will not just challenge your melee/gun skills, but your craftiness with the animal powers.
Our goal was to present this story in equal fashion to a Hollywood movie. This will be done using interactive levels, with countless mini cinematic check points. We don't want to ruin anyone's game play experience with TEXT! ..barf!
Choose your path! -- The story, maps, and ending will change depending on which decisions you make during each play through.
The mechanics are unprecedented. The current developers demo of Empire Eden already has some of the tightest, smoothest controls of any game available today. Due to the clean programming and fluid pixel animations, this is one of the few games where you actually FEEL like you are the main character...not just controlling him.
Unlock items/secrets after each play through to make the next go around as enjoyable as the last.
You the player will experience an action packed adventure in the form of a tribal native who's tribe was swept away by the Empire's soldiers. Unaware of who the Empire is, and why they have done this sinister act, your main concern is to rescue captured tribesmen/women.
You set your mark on the looming tower in the East. This is the headquarters of the Empire.
As you progress, you uncover the dark secrets of the Empire, and why they have been capturing natives from neighboring tribes across the lands.
Traveling you will meet people who have been affected by the Empire's wicked tools of war, and help them rebuild their communities, fight off the enemy, or escape certain death.
You will build meaningful and lasting relationships with numerous individuals, including a few you never thought you would.
If you make it to the tower, many mysteries will be revealed..but to uncover them all, you must make the right choices. There are multiple endings, which one will you experience?
Music is one of the most important aspects in Empire Eden. Countless game developers neglect this portion of their project, settling for sub par audio. In Empire Eden, every turn you take, your eardrums will melt listening to the beautiful musical score we have prepared.
-Our Main Composer and Music Lead is Kole Hicks. Through our collaboration, he's defining the musical world of "Empire Eden." You can expect to enter an aural landscape heavily influenced by Native American, Spaghetti Western, a little Sci-Fi, & even some Retro 8-bit musical elements. Most of them are self explanatory. But just in case anyone was wondering what happens if you donate to get your name pixeled into the game. Here are some examples of how it might look.
- Please make sure to include your a valid email address with your donation so we can send you the the Playable demo when it is ready.

If you pick the visible name tier, you will likely see your name carved into a tree, or slapped onto a robot, possibly even a name of an NPC (if it fits the story theme)...

Q: What's the deal with the playable demo?
The playable demo will be the first 2 levels of the full game. This will be released at some point in the near future. -- We want everyone to get a small taste of what they can expect from the final product. Plus teasing people is fun.
Q: Why do you need to meet the minimum pledge amount?
If the minimum pledge is met, it will allow for the team to work longer hours on Empire Eden, and employ extra talent to create a more elaborate game.
Q: What platform is this for?
PC for now, but hopefully many more platforms if our funding allows it.
Q: Will Empire Eden be translated into multiple languages?
For now we are going to make it playable in English and Spanish. If we raise enough money, we can hire more translators and have more language options.
Q: What happens if you exceed the funding goal?
If we make more than the funding goal, we will be able to hire more help, bring this game to more platforms, and release the game sooner.
Q: What happens if the goal is not met?
We will take what little money we have and purposefully incite world fear by predicting another bogus apocalypse like the 2012 Mayan Calender...Then you'll all be sorry. (You get your money back)

As of now all the planning has been done. Contacts have been made. We have the proper items in place to make sure that Empire Eden becomes a reality. Although some things aren't finished yet, you can clearly see that we are on the right track.
Along the way there will undoubtedly be some speed bumps. Like every great venture, things may have to be reworked to ensure the overall goal is achieved.
