NEW LANDMARK GOALS ANNOUNCED!
1st and 2nd Landmark Goals UNLOCKED, last one is at $17,500
**NEW TIERS FEATURING ORIGINAL ART PAGES FROM ADAMSVILLE BOOK 1**
You can own one of a very few pieces of original art from the entire Adamsville series. If you'd like to own an actual page of line art this is your chance to, as I don't sell these in my store or at conventions. Here are the details:
I've limited each tier to 12 for people who already own books 1 & 2 and another 12 for people who are buying the full set. If you like the tier you are in and would like to ADD ON one of the 24 available pages, please add $40 ($55 if outside of the US) to your tier and message me as soon as you do so I can reduce the total number available in the other tiers.
This is it! The final volume of the all ages graphic novel series, Adamsville, is nearly ready for print. I'm back on Kickstarter to ask you all to help me make that a reality.
Adamsville 1 and 2 are essentially sold out, so printing book 3 only makes sense if I can get share the series with new readers as well. So with this campaign I'm raising funds to help offset that reprint as well. It's a bigger goal than I've ever had, but I'm hoping that together we can make this complete collection printing of Adamsville a reality.
Who Am I?
My name is Michael Regina and I've been making comics in one form or another since I was in the third grade, but put the pedal to the metal 6 years ago to see this graphic novels series through to its end. I have a passion for telling suspenseful and mysterious stories for all ages. I'm so glad I've been able to share this one with you all.
What is Adamsville?
Adamsville is a trilogy of graphic novels that follows two middle school aged friends, Chloe and Todd, as they discover that their town is full of monsters… Some created and some not. At the heart of Adamsville is a mystery. Why are there hidden laboratories inside of abandoned houses? Why are there monsters under the city streets? And the biggest question of all: What is the mysterious group known as "Eden?"
In the final book of the series we follow Chloe and Todd as they race against the clock to stop Eden and save their town from the plant monsters that have taken it over. All of the secrets of the town, and our characters, are revealed in this exciting conclusion to the Webtoons.com featured series.
Why so much?
In addition to printing Adamsville book 3 for the first time, I also need to print books 1 and 2 again. I am essentially sold out of book 1 and book 2 is right behind it. It's a great problem to have, but it makes planning school visits and appearances impossible. So with this campaign I'm hoping to do a new 1,000 copy print run of books 1 and 2, and a larger 1,500 copy print run of book 3. I've set aside $5,000 to print book 1 again, but this campaign is to raise the additional funds needed to print the rest.
I love doing school visits and doing an offset print run of Adamsville is what makes them possible. I've worked with book festivals to purchase hundreds of free books for kids at school, and done dozens of author visits. The need to do a new print run of books 1 and 2, as well as printing book 3 directly impacts my ability to keep doing these. I'm so excited to get back out there, but this campaign has to be a success to keep it going.
I love getting letters and cards from kids telling me how much they enjoy my visits and books. I never would have expected that school visits would be such a big part of what I do now, but am so glad that it is.
What Are People Saying?
"Adamsville reminds me of the great, spooky horror novels and movies I grew up with. The story is creepy crawly fun!" - Kazu Kibuishi, creator of Amulet
“Where else can you find suspense comics for kids? Michael Regina has created a comics rollercoaster ride and you don’t have to be a certain height to get on.” -Stephen McCranie, creator of Space Boy and Mal & Chad
"Adamsville is a fun, creepy, and suspenseful page-turner that will have you not only clamoring for the next installment but questioning all the vegetation around you!" - Eddie Pittman, creator of Red's Planet
"The only thing more awkward than a middle school dance, is a middle school dance where you might be attacked by plant monsters. With ‘The Garden,’ Michael Regina couches the deepening mysteries of Adamsville in an eerie and exciting story, and delivers a mighty fine read." - Chris Schweitzer, creator of The Creeps and The Crogan Adventures
“Adamsville breathes the same type of exciting mystery and adventure air as the movies I grew up with as a kid. If book one is only the beginning, I’m eager to read where Regina’s beautiful storytelling takes the town’s inhabitants next.” - Mike Maihack, creator of Cleopatra in Space
Adamsville is a full color graphic novel series. My goal has been to create a beautiful and suspenseful comic series for all ages.
