Hello Friends and music lovers around the world,
We need your support to bring vibraphonist Yuhan Su's debut album "Flying Alone" to life!
Recently, I've been working on the release of my debut album, titled "Flying Alone". The album contains ten original compositions of mine written in past year and a half. It includes songs dedicated to my country, the people I love, my favorite novelist Haruki Murakami and also to inspiring and interesting moments in my life.
I want to talk about the story of the title track "Flying Alone". Four years ago, I came to the United States to study in my dream school, Berklee College of Music. Boston is the city where I experienced snow and its coldness for the first time. Leaving my country and saying goodbye to the people I'm so closed to wasn't easy. But there was this moment, where I felt utterly grateful of all the things I've learnt and all the people I've met so far. I'm collecting those laughters, tears, and the things I've gained and lost. That's why I can keep flying and even higher and further.
Now is the time to introduce all these brilliant young musicians in my project. Rafael Aguiar from Brasil on Alto Saxophone, Cesar Joaniquet from Spain on Tenor Saxophone, Publio Delgado from Spain on Guitar, Christian Li from U.S.A./Canada on Piano, Jeong Lim Yang from South Korea on Acoustic Bass and Deepak Gopinath from India on Drums. I'm Yuhan Su from Taiwan. I play vibraphone, malletKAT, and also sing two songs in this album. This ensemble is seriously amazing with solid playing and extraordinary creativity.
We've done the recording in March 2012. Now we really need your help to cover the expense of mixing, mastering, graphic designing, and packaging. If we get extra money, it will be of great help for our upcoming touring in U.S.A. and Asia.
Please visit my website www.yuhansu.com and also check out our video for this project. Hope to share the music with you soon!
Thank you for your love!
