Hi Eveyone,

We are introducing a new Ace of Clubs. We loved the skull & cross bones but after completing the artwork for the rest of the aces, it just didn't make sense anymore.  The mythological swan - another animal in the kingdom of the Blue Bloods - felt more consistent visually with the rest of the aces and overall look and story of the deck. The skull & cross bones will still be used on the t-shirts, temporary tattoo & patch offered in the rewards (boy are those collectable now!) and will show up as a wild card in the deck. As perfectionists we want the deck to be as good as it can be for you and though a tough final design decision to make at this point, we are confident it is the right one.

And now a little bit about the swan: The swan is the most ancient and powerful of totems. Though beautiful and graceful it is incredibly strong and in mythology it is often a seductive shape-shifter. Carrying the classic Latin phrase "Memento Mori" (remember your mortality) the swan is a fitting symbol for the Court of the Blue Blood Clubs.

Since a deck usually includes two extra cards besides the jokers, why not include both? It would also serve as a replacement for us flourishers who either use 53 cards or tend to drop decks and lose cards. :P

      Agreed, the swan works better.

You made the right choice! This ties into the deck much better! Perhaps you could include the original ace of clubs as a ad card.

As much as the"pirate"in me likes the skull and crossbones , the Swan is the right call on this one .

The Ace of Clubs is my favorite so far; strong, protective, devoted and stunning. Very lively change! Thanks for all this fun. JIM
