We are BBBambino, a new childrenswear label founded by Betty Bonhard; a fashion designer who has previously spent many years running a London-based womenswear label.
How did it happen?
In 2014, clients kept asking her to design clothes for their little ones. So Betty decided to make childrenswear. Following months of extensive research, sourcing and testing textiles from the best organic-cotton suppliers, designing and making countless prototypes, we are proud to present Corgi, our first limited-edition collection.
How we make our clothes
At BBBambino we really care about our products. That’s why we hand-draw and paint all our motifs. We draw inspiration from fairy tales, fantasy worlds and children’s unlimited imagination. Our first collection was inspired by our lovely Corgi, Ollie and the fun adventures we’ve had with him and his friends.
But that’s just the start: in London we are surrounded by fashion trends from around the world, which is why we create unique textile designs that are carefully crafted so that your children will always feel and look marvellous..
Environmentally friendly and ethically made
Only once we’re happy with every detail of the hand-drawn artwork do we create textile patterns in Photoshop, which are then digitally printed onto organic cotton; cotton which is certified by GOTS: the Global Organic Textile Standard.
Our organic cotton is grown without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals such as fertilisers or pesticides. Its production is ethical and promotes biodiversity and natural growth cycles. And that helps our planet too!
We believe in ethical manufacturing, so all our production is based in the European Union. And we make sure that our clothes are produced in a friendly and fair working environment.
Tried and Tested for Quality
All our clothes have been thoroughly tested with our little Julie and lots of her friends. We also spend a lot of time with other parents, finding out which shapes and types of clothes are most practical and comfortable for action packed days.
Be Part of BBBambino's Story
With your help, we’d like to raise enough funding
- To print and manufacture your rewards.
- Create our next extended collection.
- In July we want to take this to the international children’s wear show Bubble taking place in London. There we will showcase our collection and meet shop buyers who can help us bring our clothes children around the world.
Your pledges will make a difference
We will make sure that every penny spent will be put to good use. Have a look below at what we're going to be spending the money on. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Risks and challenges
If this project is successful and we reach our goal we will order the fabrics before the end of April.
Our reliable supplier from Berlin http://www.lebenskleidung.com/ allows 6-8 weeks for the cotton to be digitally printed. We have no reason to not trust their estimates, but there can always be some delays.
When the fabric is ready, it will be sent to two carefully chosen and tested factories in the Czech Republic.
One specialises exclusively in children's wear in Hradec Kralove, the other one in Lysa nad Labem.
If any of them would be too busy, the other factory can pick up the remaining orders. Our plan is to have the first samples from the factories end of June, so we can show them at the trade show Bubble in July.
Your orders are planned to be completed in July too, so if everything goes according to plan, they should be with you July/August.
Worst case scenario, you will only get your orders slightly later. This could happen if we need to change the organic cotton supplier, but that's highly unlikely.
Lebenskleidung has promised to support our project on their social media and the Czech factories have already been tested by Betty Bonhard's women's wear and there should not be any delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
