We want to start a anthropomorphic post-apocalyptic miniature line
Its based on a small 1:56 scale (28mm) range with a post-apocalyptic touch.
In the far future our domesticated animals have developed into sentient beings just as humans did so long ago.
These anthropomorphic citizens has evolved or perhaps were created by a since long gone dying old world that was ruled by humans alone. This is only remembered by the new civilization through legends, stories and myths.
As we have seen before in ancient civilizations a ruling class often need a lesser class to stand upon to “rise” above the masses.
For the Mutants of the working class the struggle is real, and many take refuge to the wild. The dream to explore ancient ruins and the possibility for a life in luxury and ease after just one successful expedition draws man and mutants alike.
These are our heroes, because regardless of heritage these creatures will take on the roles as explorers, outcasts and even monsters. We are going to follow them out in the new dawn in a world rising from the abyss that was before. This is NoMADs in the making. Meet the future and most likely perish in it.
Our Inspiration for this range is amongst others some classical Swedish RPG games as well as recent Post apocalyptic games and games in the Steampunk genre.
The first miniatures will be a small series of the following creatures in one pack.
1. One hamster, this one comes with a name already, Beerjeer, he was a soldier before he became an adventurer.
2. One wolf.
3. Three rabbits, one female, armed to the teeth and dangerous for all meat eaters.
4. One robot armed and hostile.
5. Two monkeys loaded with recycled tech a bit like steampunk. One is the captain of the airship and the other one is a crew member.
7. Mutated Duck.
7: Wild boar.
And one large really awesome airship. This is a kickstarter exclusive and future kickstarters might have accesories to the airship as add-ons.
We will give you better pictures of all the miniatures and the airship as they are done and we will have the first sculpts on the 20th of December and we will of course give you pictures of them. For now all the images are work in progress and the miniatures might differ from the sketches.
If you are curious about our sculptors skill, some of us has worked with him before and here is an image of previous scuplts. And you can check out his Facebook page:
Please be advised that we are not sure if the miniatures will be in pewter or resin and we can't even give you an estimate what shipping will cost worldwide. As soon as we have a rough idea we will let you know.
120K SEK: We will add Jörgen, a brown bear armed with a crowbar to all pledge levels above Zone Stalkers.
150K SEK: Our adventurers will be portrayed by Magnus Fallgren and we will have stats made up for them for F28. The monkey just hanging around will also come in another pose more suited for the ground.
300K SEK: If we reach this goal we will create a hard back version of the F28 with portraits of of our heroes made by Magnus Fallgren and stats for them and the airship for the F28 system. The book will be available as an add-on for 400 SEK.
F28 ("Fast" 28) is a game system for 28mm miniatures that places emphasis on speed, simplicity and customizability. It allows players to stage conflicts with their own favourite ranges of tabletop miniatures in three different scales: Battles, Skirmish, and Narrative.
We have chosen to work with F28 because they fit our vision on how we want to use the miniatures. Their system is easily adaptable both in scale and setting and a post-apocalyptic game needs good rules for close and ranged combat with weapons from different ages.
450K SEK: We will have one of the monsters of the world made into a miniature. The Hunger Tree is a mutated tree that eats humanoids, as help to gather its food it uses copies of its victims called LIL. They look a lot like the victims but with a green skin tone and its skin does have a barkish look in places. This miniature will come with a tree and some LILs.
Risks and challenges
We feel that our timeline is good and the sculpting has already started. Things might hit the fan but we are certain that we will be able to deal with any problems that might occur.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
