Production Update and Surveys!
All of the individual metal plates have been stamped, anodized and bent for the money clips and are ready for assembly. This includes the titanium, aluminum and stainless steel. I don't know if I've mentioned this before but the rivets used to secure the metal plates on each side are machined from scratch. There has been a slight production delay concerning the remaining rivets and we have decided to break the order up into two batches. The first batch is scheduled to be delivered on May 5th and the second batch is scheduled to be delivered 7-10 days after that.
Although production delays are a drag, this gave us the opportunity to opt for additional polishing. The inside plates of each wallet and the stainless steel clips are going in for a second hand polishing so ensure the cards slide as smoothly as possible while the remaining rivets are machined.
We decided to go with the batch delivery for a few reasons. Mainly so we have a chance to prepare our house for the arrival of around 7000 wallets. This way we can have an idea of the space needed, the best way to organize the different types of wallets and packing materials as well as begin printing shipping labels.
We'll be sending out surveys within the hour! This is where you will be able to specify your final shipping address. Please make sure to fill these out as soon as possible and very carefully, we only have one shot at this! We won't be able to ship until almost all of the surveys have been filled out.
You should receive another e-mail shortly from Kickstarter regarding the survey with a link, or you log onto your account on the Kickstarter website and there will be a banner at the top of your browser with an information request; Click on that to be taken to the survey.
*A note for international backers- please try and minimize non-English marks and if possible input your address in English.
We want to thank everyone again and hope that the delivery timeframe is acceptable, our goal is to remain as transparent as possible throughout the project and keep all of our backers as involved as possible. We're actually very happy with production as there are often little implications that are impossible to foresee. We're excited to be on schedule and start shipping all of the rewards!
