Life Messages Photo Shoots started as a way for women to share heartfelt lessons that they have learned through experience to benefit others. One woman after another has come to the loft studio, sat and talked to me about what has lead them to their life message. They then write their message down and I take their picture. We have had many laughs and tears through this process. What has unfolded is that these sessions and messages have not only helped others, but they have been self-affirming for the life messengers themselves. I have been told that life messages has been life altering, has boosted women's self esteem, has given each one of them a voice...life messages have made people stop and think about what is important to them and what they want to share with the world. It has made them think of what their values are and what they want to tell their children, family or friends. Also, women have come up with a multitude of creative ideas to express their life messages through jewellery, painting, personalized pillows and more...The hope for this project is that a beautiful hard-cover PhotoArt book is made out of these images to become an official part of Canada's Heritage as well as PhotoArt Cards and a very special Life Messages Movement Show in the fall of 2014. A show where we will share our stories, messages and launch the book and cards. A show where we will all leave on an inspiration high! It is my hope that anyone who comes in contact with life messages will be inspired by these amazing women and will think of their own life message too! Please support this project!
Risks and challenges
The Life Messages Movement PhotoArt Book and Show will not be possible without your generous sponsorship. That would mean that the stories and amazing messages of these incredible women wouldn't be published and shared! In order to meet our publishing deadlines for the book, we need to achieve this goal within the 21 day period. If that did not take place, we would have to use a different approach and that would cause delays and potentially alter the product of the show and book. Assuming we are successful, it will be hard for me to choose the photos for the book which may cause delays in production. I plan to consult with participants and designers if I need help choosing. I will also give a strict cutoff for submissions of participants mini stories to avoid delays. Other challenges involve having to cut off the number of participants to 100 people as one of the tenants of the project was to be inclusive. If we reach or supersede our goal here, I can potentially continue with a second phase as well as other life message book initiatives I have in mind for the future; allowing more people to be a part of this movement to make a difference in their lives and in the lives of others!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
