Gather by the River - RALLY TONIGHT - PRIDE RIVER CROSSING
Anchored in the heartland, PRIDE RIVER CROSSING, a play for six actors, channels Spoon River Anthology's otherwordly voices to comment on contemporary LGBT life in America.
PRIDE RIVER CROSSING = gay weddings, funerals, courtrooms, rallies, video artists, real estate agents, priests & preachers, two dad families, PFLAG moms, riot police, marriage counselors & prison inmates forging a tipping point in PRIDE RIVER's history. Testifying from current events and from the grave, PRIDE RIVER's voices will be heard.
PRIDE RIVER CROSSING is currently calling out to find the proper support for our many voices. Will your voice be heard adopting a seat at the Festival, or helping rent rehearsal space, or providing a travel or designer stipend, or putting costumes on the actor's backs? You decide how you want your voice to be heard.

DOC HILL "There was a wind on the hill that night. It blew with the indefinable current of change. They spoke of change and the words pierced the charged air of possibility. We hadn’t heard the words before out loud, only whispered, or suspected in coded messages. We had come together to hear them, to feel as one, to be as one no matter how great the danger. Finally out in the open, we had gathered together in the promise of possibility. Would we stay there? In the infinite depth of possibility? There was a wind that night. It was charged with the current of change"
