This is my 10th issue of Straw Man and with every publication I'm trying to do more to promote the book. For instance with this issue I have 9 different artists working on the book. Each one of these artists will receive copies of the book to sell and to distribute to their fans, ensuring that as comic creators we do more to help promote each other. I feel like I'm taking the first steps to solve the distribution problem most independent creators face by setting a standard of cross-pollination between artists and creators.
If you love good story telling and are crazy about comics you'll love this issue. Featuring Tom Scioli with an American Barbarian sampling, Blair Kitchen's "Possum vs. Straw Man", Mike Kitchen's Spy Guy/Straw Man story "Stuck in the Middle (of Texas) with Spy Guy", a retelling of James Smith's "Mr. Monkey Bags", a strange take of John 20: 11-18 by Brian Payne, Max Ink's rare Blink story "Tilting at Windmills", a cool pirate story by Richard Jenkins, a fun 2-Page "Sparky" Jam kicked of by Steve Peters, and all three parts to "Has Been" by David Branstetter.
The great news is that the issue is already in the can. All we need is the money to print it, so no waiting. The total bill for the project is 2,372. If we can meet that number great! The project is set at 1,000 to get half the printing bill covered so we can get this project moving. I thank you all for your help.
