Today's video is offsite! CLICK THIS LINK TO SEE A VIDEO OF ME SHOWING SELECTED BOOKS TO A YOUTUBE VIDEO OF A GOAT.
Three of our five GOAT STARE backers, to whose pledges I executively added advance copies of THIS IS HOW YOU DIE, have requested their books at once, so I showed their books (as requested) to a YouTube video of a goat! I think the goat approved, don't you??
Those books and EARLY BIRD books have now been mailed out! REWARDS HAVE COMMENCED ALREADY.
If you're an EARLY BIRD and haven't sent yet me your address -- or an INFAMY, TYCOON, or FROM ABOVE and haven't sent me your card ideas, or a DRAWN; QUARTERED and haven't sent me your picture -- please do so right away! Check your Kickstarter messages, or send me a Kickstarter message. I'm trying to stay on the production schedule for the physical printing of the game.
But so far it's going great! The Webcomics Cards and lots of the backer cards are indeed coming in, and they're SO GOOD, you guys. So. Good.
In this intermediary time, as I'm rushing to get the actual game out the door, if you are interested in MORE OF ME, please feel free to avail yourself of the following interviews I conducted during the span of this campaign:
DJ GRANDPA'S CRIB (audio; my portion is first, starting about 0:25): "I just like to do things I think are cool, and I'm really gratified when other people share my taste. And If I give myself any credit, it's that I'm not afraid to try something that, maybe, is strange."
SIX QUESTIONS WITH KEITH BAKER: "I like to think that Wondermark occupies a universe parallel to our own, where everyone speaks their mind, has the perfect rejoinder to any situation, has fabulous fashion sense, and can bolt any manner of things together to make glorious elaborate nonsense contraptions. I don’t know if I’d want to live in that world — it’s a bit dangerous as well. But I sure like looking in on it."
THE LITTLE METAL DOG SHOW (audio; my portion starts around 1:13:45): "If you come up with your plan and you roll the die and it doesn't work, you've got to change your plan. You've got to amend it to something else, under the gun while the timer's going down, to now something else, that you have a new Gift Card for. So there's a frantic element of it, and I think the advantage of that is, it makes it really wacky. You know, for the right type of gamer, you just come up with the craziest stuff! I think it takes you to a really strange, creative, cartoony -- a Wile E. Coyote/Road Runner place that's fun for the mental pictures it evokes."
THEOLOGY OF GAMES: "We’re in this weird flux period where business models are changing, and just trying to stay informed about what’s going on in the world of media is a full-time job by itself. But we’re very grateful that folks have responded so well to the Machine of Death idea and it’s given us a lot of opportunities to do fun things like hold stage shows, invite various forms of participation from fans and readers, and now, of course, make the game. None of which would have been possible without people taking a chance on the first book!"
