After many years of studying classical guitar, my love for the electric guitar was rekindled after playing several "classical" pieces that called for electric guitar while in graduate school. At the end of my studies, I did a final project recording the accompanying parts of Steve Reich's Electric Counterpoint for a final recital. I was greatly energized by overdubbing multiple parts in the studio and I was inspired to make my first CD entirely of pieces for multiple electric guitars.
Now that the music has been recorded, mixed, and mastered, it's time to get it out into the world. Innova Records, the recording label of the American Composers Forum, has agreed to release the record. The funds raised through this campaign will pay for design, duplication, administrative costs, and the distribution and publicity provided by the support of a record label.
Innova is a unique not-for-profit label that supports their recording artists better than most record labels. While the label does charge an administrative fee to release a title, proceeds from sales go straight to the artist. Having Innova's support will give my CD a wider network of distribution and publicity while I can focus on what I do best: playing music.

Your support of this project will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to sharing this music with you all and I'm excited to join the exciting and diverse cohort of musicians that Innova has curated so far.
Risks and challenges
All of the hard work for this project is completed. The audio for the CD has been recorded, mixed, mastered and is ready to go to press. This campaign will finance design, duplication, and label fees that cover publicity, distribution, and general operations for a label that exists to distribute the work of artists like me. Because I've finished the most challenging aspects of this project with my own resources, the timeline on this project will be short and you will receive your rewards for backing the recording sooner!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
