Project delivery, update 1

It's delivery time! The past week has been filled with 100's of minute details, each one aimed at contributing to the awesome little sound system that we have all envisioned here. This is the unglamorous, sometimes boring end of the product development 'funnel', but it's ALL in the details at this point.

I know several of our supporters are product development EXPERTS, you know what it's like;

- All plastic parts were delivered last night - had a friend at the factory all weekend long solving minor molding issues, flow problems, etc. Molding plastic is sometimes more art then science. Test assemblies have all passed and are looking very good.

- All components are in hand now, all PC boards should be completed tomorrow.

- FCC, CE, Ctick certifications will be complete and in hand by Friday.

- Quality assurance test plans are being developed now; we've got some of the best in the business overseeing quality control.

- Packaging design should be complete this week, instructions as well. We have a FANTASTIC instruction designer on our team!

- Custom USB cables look good, our custom 3.5mm audio cable connector being tooled now... we will be using braided cotton shielding; a great detail!

- 150 T1 preproduction units to be assembled in the next couple days - lots of quality testing coming, including shock and vibration, drop, accelerated life testing, etc. Brutal - all in the name of quality!

- Master and inner cartons are done, internal packaging components are on the way.

...hope you're doing the math here; we are currently ahead of schedule - but plenty of challenges await.

More soon!

Please send us a note directly. The plan is to match earphones to the 1Q wood choice.

I just finished the survey, but there was no option there to select your choice of earphones for purchases over $180. Is that something that will be addressed at a later date?

Could you please include an option to upgrade from 1E to 7E for 20$ more?

You're not alone - once we are closer to shipping, we will be in touch with you.

Guys, I've pledged for a 2 pack, and just browsing by chance I've noticed that the international shipping is $10 PER 1Q! I've only given shipping costs for 1 1Q. How do I add that extra $10?

Saw the cotton bag. awesome look, but i remember we were throwing around some potential extras since we hit such a big goal.. a hard front panel was one of the potential ideas.. just wondering if that idea even solidified

Hi - please see update 3 for a photo of the cotton bag that will be included...

Any news on a potential hard travelling case or front panel for protecting the speaker?

Great stuff Dave and crew. I am very excited to think that two of your great speakers will soon be flying to New Zealand. Looking forward to that day! Thanks

Sweet! You're also one of the few Kickstarter programs I've seen that actually knew that they had to get FCC/CE license/declaration. Definitely more professional than most. I"m really looking forward to getting these!

I think this is the first Kickstarter i've ever seen to be ahead of schedule.
