About this project
The King in Yellow is an indie rock band from Kennesaw, GA that formed in January of 2011. Since forming, the band has written and recorded their first two demos “Apparitions” and “Don’t Take This to Heart”; which is also currently available on iTunes and BandCamp.
We have played many shows all across the southeast and gained fans throughout Georgia and it’s surrounding states. We have been through a lot this past year, and with that being said, it’s time to record again. We want this EP to be unlike anything we’ve ever done, and hopefully with your help, we can make that happen.
We recently got contacted by one of Atlanta’s premiere producers, Matt Goldman. He said that he was really interested in working with us and the feeling was very mutual. Matt Goldman owns Glow in the Dark Studios and has worked on records from the bands Underoath, Hawkboy, Cartel and many more notable artists in today’s music scene. Having Goldman on board for this EP would change the outcome drastically, but producers of this stature don’t just work for free.
Your donations will be going towards the following:
- Studio time
In return, we would love to repay you with prizes that can be found on the right of the page. Obviously the $1,000 will not completely cover all of these costs, but it will help put a dent in an otherwise daunting number.
If you have ever met or seen The King in Yellow, you know that we want to keep you, the fans, as involved as possible. In order to do that, we decided to use Kickstarter so we would have the opportunity to have more personal experiences that would otherwise be impossible. Not only has this given us the opportunity to let you effectively “pre-order” our new EP and merch, but it’ll let us go out to dinner, cook breakfast, and even enjoy a night of intense N64 and delicious hibachi.
We want to thank you for all of your help, whether you donate $1, $200 or just share this page with a friend, every little bit helps more than you know.
