Koropokkur in Love is a tale of a young woman who, after venturing out of her isolated village, experiences love and a vast, brand-new world for the very first time. Amusing troubles await her as she struggles to maintain her human-sized form and adjust to the human world with the help of her magic powers and Satoru, a young maid cafe owner.
The refreshing, at-home atmosphere of the story, cafe, and characters will bring a smile to your face, and possibly, a tear to your eye.


Whether you're new to visual novels or a long-time fan, we're positive Koropokkur will leave a warm glow in your heart.
Here at MangaGamer, we love visual novels and everything that makes them special - the breadth of stories they can tell, the unique atmospheres they can create through sound, visuals, and music, and of course the depth of characterization they allow and the ability to really allow players to experience interacting with the characters. From the day we first began it's been our mission to share this wonderful medium with English speakers and bridge the gap between East and West.
After ten years of quality localizations and publishing visual novels, we wanted to do something special for our anniversary - and what better than develop our own visual novel! We've already enlisted the support of a great team of developers, including the acclaimed artist, Itaru Hinoue, but now we need your support to help realize our full vision for this heartwarming little fairy tale of first love.
Our goal is to create a visual novel that's easy to pick up and enjoy, even for those new to the genre. While the base story will focus on the central heroine, Asirrera, we aim to create a game that encompasses all the charm and best aspects visual novels have to offer.














We've already been able to fund over half of the development budget ourselves, but we need your support to fully expand on Koropokkur and really bring the characters and world to life. Our base funding goal of $30,000 will be spent according to the chart below:

Once we manage to surpass this goal, all successive funding we earn will go straight to development, put to work on meeting the stretch goals outlined below.

If this project is funded, there are several key features we'd like to add to enhance the game experience and further the depth Koropokkur can offer.

Multi-platform and dual language support! At this goal we'll be able to make adjustments to the programming, code, and engine in order to make Koropokkur natively compatible with Mac and Linux systems, allowing us to expand the number of people we can reach with Koropokkur. The upgrades to the engine will also allow us to add dual language support, allowing players to switch between English and Japanese within the game.

Full voice acting! Once we hit this goal we'll be able to add full voice acting for all three heroines with professional studio quality. We will be hiring professional Japanese Voice Actresses to fill the roles, and we're currently approaching several famous anime voice actresses as our potential candidates.

New story content! After this goal is met we'll be able to delve more into the stories of the Koropokkur.
This additional chapter will center around Cirta and take place after the main game. With the main story resolved, Cirta begins to focus on herself again, setting off on a journey to train her martial prowess and discover herself.

This additional chapter will center around Haruante and take place after the main game. With the main story resolved, it's time for Haruante to face her original duties. As she enters the forest to carry out her role, more will be revealed about the Koropokkur and their society.

Bring the Koropokkur to life! With the achievement of this goal, we'll be able to convert all of the sprites to full Live2D animated models, granting the characters fluid, realistic motion throughout the entire game and bonus content.

Every achievement you unlock with your fellow backers will advance the progress toward the next reward. With enough achievements reached, the following rewards will be received by all backers of the appropriate tiers:

*Although this schedule is based on the current plan, the game completion may be delayed as we reach further stretch goals such as the Live2D animation.

Koropokkur in Love already has an existing scope with a budget close to $60,000; $30,000 of which we've already invested ourselves. We have a full team of developers, translators, editors, and other staff actively working on this product in its current scale, and we're committed to producing this game regardless of what happens with this Kickstarter. So why do we need your help? The answer is YOU - we need YOU to decide how big Koropokkur will become. Success in this Kickstarter will allow us to fund more of the aspects we've envisioned for this title.
All of us - fans and developers alike - want a game that truly demonstrates the richness and depth that visual novels can offer. There's so much more we would like to include that doesn't fit the current budget. We long to ensure people can play Koropokkur on multiple platforms. We dream of including full voice acting by famous, skilled voice talents. Our writer's itching to include additional content that would further expand on the characters and story of Koropokkur. With this Kickstarter we hope to realize all of these goals and shoot even further beyond to bring the magic home and have everyone fall in love with Koropokkur. Help us make this little fairy tale one that truly lingers in your heart and warms you with its memory.

Risks and challenges
Our company will be bringing a decade's worth of experience working on visual novels to this project. We have localized and released over one hundred titles and acted as both localizer and publisher, with dozens of active projects currently in localization by our talented staff. We are committed to producing Koropokkur, and we can guarantee that this product will see completion. We have already committed a significant personal investment into the development of this project, and the production schedule for Koropokkur is currently passing the halfway mark.
Every video game production schedule comes with delays and setbacks, but we've accounted for some delay in our schedule already. With successful funding, we are confident that we can meet the current Kickstarter delivery estimates at the present scope and content planned for Koropokkur. Should we manage to achieve funding for our stretch goals, then we'll be able to expand on our planned content and add additional features to the game which may require additional time to implement.
In addition to game localization, we also have years of experience in producing physical merchandise. We have several Japanese production companies lined up to produce the highest quality products for shipping. The most likely delay we foresee in meeting physical reward tiers is simply shipping. As this will be our very first Kickstarter and use of BackerKit, it will take time to collect all the necessary information from backers, and ship the finished products from Japan to our distributors, but we will ensure that every backer receives their reward goods.
We want Koropokkur to be the best game it can be, and with your help we can make it so!
