We're excited to bring you the finest ginger drink you've ever tasted! Garwood’s Ginger Beer is a unique specialty beverage crafted by hand in Salt Lake City. This product is made with raw juice from fresh high quality produce, filtered water, and organic cane sugar. It may be enjoyed by itself as a powerfully invigorating refreshment or mixed into a fine cocktail to add an extra kick.
This project was born out of our love for delicious and nutritious beverages. We've always enjoyed making fresh juices and other invigorating drinks like kombucha at home. When we began thinking of something that we love that we could share with our community, we realized we were always wanting more from store bought ginger drinks that we enjoyed. We devised this cocktail of fresh citrus and ginger juice to provide the perfect balance of tart, sweet, and spice. We're almost ready to share this drink that we love with you - we hope you're as excited as we are!
We will begin by selling our product wholesale to local bars, restaurants, cafes, and grocers in the Greater Salt Lake City area. Our wholesale business will give us a platform to build our brand and gain positive customer recognition without having to shell out for retail space immediately. Beginning in June we will expand to include retail sales as an additional revenue stream, using the Salt Lake City Downtown Farmers Market as an outlet to reach consumers directly. During the summer, the Salt Lake City Downtown Farmers Market has an average of 8,500 visitors per weekly recurring event, this will prove to be a powerful platform to grow our business through retail sales and direct interaction with our customers. We look forward to seeing you there!
Risks and challenges
There are many challenges in starting any business, and ours is no exception.
1. While Salt Lake City is home to a thriving food culture the customers here have discerning taste. Our product must be excellent! We are taking our time to develop the perfect blend of fresh citrus and ginger juice for a strong bite with a delightful tart sweetness.
2. Selling at The Downtown Farmers' Market in Salt Lake City will be a major revenue channel for us this year and continuing into the future, however there is no guarantee that we will be accepted as a vendor at the market this summer. You can help by showing support for our business on Facebook and other social media platforms where we have a presence. However, if we are not accepted into the market to sell our product this summer we will use this opportunity to expand our bottling operation in order to reach more wholesale clients. We will also begin retail sales by offering delivery service to downtown Salt Lake, The Avenues, and Sugarhouse.
3. It seems like we've thought of everything, but when is that ever true?! As we begin to purchase, produce, and problem solve, there will be unexpected difficulties which may cost money to overcome. That's where you come in, not only do you give us confidence and moral support, by backing us you provide the threads of our safety net so we can learn how best to share this product that we love with the community that we love.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
