About this project
Funds raised for this project will enable the expansion of acid-etching projects and the training of other up-and-coming artists who are transitioning to metal as a unique medium of expression. I work primarily with brass, copper, and sterling silver.
Acid-etching is a unique technique that produces organic features and adds a factor of chance to the artistic process. However, with practice it can also be utilized for near-precise image reproduction.
Funding will be used strictly for materials and studio time. I work with metal because I love it, not to make a profit. I expect the same from those with whom I will be working on this project, including friends and colleagues who are devoted to creative expression.
The overall goal is to expand the distribution and sale of finished products while encouraging meaningful creativity through a semi-structured process of experimentation. Increasing community involvement is a long-term goal that will be aided by this project.
