Who will you trust?
You are an android agent who had been activated after hundreds of years of stasis. Your scheduled mission is still centuries in the future, but your underground base has been invaded and you are needed to defend it.
Unfortunately, it will take time for your memories to return. As you fight, trick or sneak your way up from the lower levels to the surface and your memories begin filtering back, you realize that your mission is not what you thought it was—and you may not be who you think you are.
Choose your strategy wisely, because every choice you make now will lead to different options later. The world has changed since you were put to sleep, and you will need to decide whether you are still willing to follow your ancient orders or whether you are ready to set a new future in motion.*
Game Play: You must choose whether to complete your objectives using combat, stealth or sixth sense and diplomacy. You can solve the puzzles that unlock the base’s secrets using logic, or you can try to recover your lost memories for clues.
Story: You are forced awake in an underground facility after hundreds of years of stasis. All you know is that you are an agent of an ancient, clandestine group, and you have a mission – but your memory is gone, and you don’t recall what that mission is.
Game System: The Midnight Legion is a highly advanced color illustrated gamebook series in the style of the classic Choose Your Own Adventure series, but with MUCH more (think more like an advanced version of SORCERY or LONE WOLF with deeper character generation). The gameplay system is for solo or 2-player use. There are combat, puzzles, diplomacy, stealth and role playing elements. Collect information, knowledge and goods from the world around you to advance your character.
Choices: Whatever you decide, your actions change the world around you and determine the encounters you face next. Every game you play will be different – and you will need all of your skills to survive.

Book 2: The World Reborn
More than four centuries have passed since the Devastation engulfed the Earth. The species that remained were fused and reborn in the alchemy of atomic fire. Now their diverse descendants have claimed the planet. You are an agent of the Midnight Legion, tasked with preserving life and rebuilding civilization. Only one other agent remains, and she is somewhere ahead of you, racing for your last remaining base. Unless you can reach it before she does, she will seize the command center and use its ancient weapons to unleash a second Devastation. This time, if she succeeds, nothing will survive. Your chase will lead you to new creatures, lost technologies and possibly even the clues your adversary leaves behind. But beware—there are no established paths across this constantly shifting land, and nothing is what it seems.
Book 3: The Portal of Life
Your world is gone. The world that has replaced it is alien and savage, but filled with wondrous new life. In the last remaining Midnight Legion base a computer controls technology that can destroy it or help it to thrive. If you’re strong enough you can defeat the agent who betrayed your mission. If you’re clever and skilled enough you can solve the base’s puzzles and outwit its traps. But even then you will still need to confront the sentient, possibly deranged computer itself. What it can tell you depends on how much you are willing to sacrifice to regain the memories you have lost.

Risks and challenges
This project is low risk. In case of any unexpected delay with the printer, delivery, shipping or otherwise, we will notify backers and do EVERYTHING possible to accelerate the process. We believe that communications with all our backers provides both the information and clarity necessary for project success.
Since I am the co-designer and the artist, reliance on others is kept at a minimum—making delays far less likely. Each game is edited and tested by my experienced and close-knit team of published writers, editors, and gamers to maintain strong game mechanics and a comprehensive set of rules. A high-quality game printing company creates and ships the finished product to us.
Once we receive the finished product, we use a high-quality international fulfillment house for delivery. They have over 30 years of experience and have been very professional with previous deliveries, with no complaints from us or our backers and game recipients. Sometimes errors occur with the shipment, and we work with you and the shipping company to correct those. This happens as a standard margin of error, but with experience in shipping we are confident our team can solve it.
In addition, this is not a new process to us. We have created 7 previous game products and 5 campaigns on KICKSTARTER. All have been successful. In our campaigns, we actually completed and delivered ahead of the estimated delivery time.
