FINAL 2 DAYS - EVERY LITTLE BIT IS HUGE NOW - SO HOW DO I PHRASE THIS?
We are over 91% funded, but we could really use a tiny push to get to the finish line. The project expires JUST AFTER THIS WEEKEND. Today and tomorrow, and that's all she wrote.
I have written and re-written this Update #5 a dozen times. There's no easy way to ask those who have already backed to do something more. I thought about using humor (those of you with small children, consider that college is still pretty far away, do you really need to be saving for that?), being complimentary (did you know you are my most attractive backer ... and hey, those are nice shoes), being philosophical (backing this project for a greater amount is the greater societal good), or using logic (the premise is that the project needs a wee little push; therefore the conclusion is to back it a wee bit more).
Then I thought of just stating, as a reminder, that my style of photography, so I'm told, looks really good on walls.
But after grappling with all these approaches, I realized that none of these arguments compares with the pure joy and contentment you will feel after either making even the slightest increase in your pledge, or better yet - referring a friend to come aboard. Let me leave you to it. Go ahead. It's OK to be selfish and pursue this joy for yourself. You've earned it.
Increase your pledge today.
In all seriousness, I am grateful for all the support to date. I do love photography. And I've wanted to publish a book since ... I can remember.
Just a tiny bit more, and it will happen ...
