Das Keyboard 5Q Kickstarter July Update

Grettings backers,

In our last update we provided the not-so-good news about our FCC woes. Since then we have taken three parallel approaches to solving the problem and as of last Sunday night, we had fully compliant results. These result have pulled in our production outlook with Pilot Production in August and full production starting in September. We should have volume to begin Kickstarter shipments in the October timeframe.

Till next time.

Das Keyboard Team.

Give us our money back. I'm sick of waiting.

geez, at that rate we may never have a winner.

      - Q-Knob encoder has to be replaced
      - Scheduling delay with polymeric
      - Scheduling delay with pcb manufacturing.

As you can tell, my expectation for this company is continually dropping.. and so far i'm seeing nothing that will stop it from that trend.

Let's start a competition... what will the next excuse be? I'll suggest...

      * Parts availability
      * Alignment - to fix the FCC issue required moving a part and now it is right where the mounting hole needs to be, so the plastic housing needs to be reworked...

All entries accepted until the next update is posted...

I dig it, with the last delay I was finally starting to lose my resolve over being okay with the delays. So, I'm glad to finally hear some good news!

Just as trustworthy as all the other BS updates.

Fair point, why arn't extras like keys being shipped earlier?

Tough news, but thanks the update. I'd good to hear what's going regardless if it's good or bad news.

      Thanks for working so hard.

My Steadicam Volt will arrive before this keyboard. At least I'll get it before Christmas. With the extra time that has passed, will I still have to wait for Mac keys?

Thanks for the update, with all these shipping delays will keyboards be shipping with all the extras together, or is everything going to ship separately still?

      Greetings to you too Das.

Simple and straight forward update. I hope this is an indication for the more quick, brief, and informative updates in the future.
