About

What is aid?

Aid is a mobile application that bridges the gap between you and your doctor.  Our innovative AI solution takes into consideration your medical history, tracks your progress in between doctor visits, and provides actionable advice.

Aid also allows you to stay in contact with your doctor. If aid detects any anomalies in your medical progress, it will notify your physician for you.  Ultimately, taking into account your past diagnosis, medical plan, and current condition, aid is able to give timely advice to help advance your health goals.

Who We Are

We're a team of four HCI students at University of California, San Diego, with backgrounds in medicine, computer science, and design.  We're passionate about bettering the lives of those who've been through troubled times.

How You Can Help

We're looking to raise $100,000 to help aid become real.  This money will be spent towards research, development, and getting doctors and patients to review and use our application, and yes, feed us.  After real-world beta testing, we intend to show actionable and major results to gain more funding and real-life usage.

Risks and challenges

One of our largest measures of success will be being able to prove tangible and actionable results from our application. This will involve a large-scale use of our application over time.

Another issue involves the possible risks and liabilities of using an AI to offer medical advice. This is an issue often encountered with new medical technology, and may require petitions and/or licensing. We're prepared to tackle this.
