IT'S OVER! WOOHOOOOO!

Posted by Peter Schmidt (Creator)

IT'S OVER! IT'S SUCCESSFUL! AND I OWE IT ALL TO YOU!

To everyone who supported my kickstarter: THANK YOU!

This is a dream come true. Your support means so much to me, and not just in terms of dollars. This is validation of a life long dream. It's priceless. And I can't ever thank you enough for backing me.

As for business, I know I owe a bunch of you rewards - t-shirts and prints and comics, among other things. KSW is still in production and won't be ready to ship for a few months (hence why the reward says January as the expected delivery date). So my plan is to ship some of the rewards by the end of the month (specifically the t-shirts and prints and MAYBE the 40 page minicomic) and then ship the other rewards (including the actual comic) when they're ready.

This way I get to send you something now as a thank you AND I still have the time to make KSW as good as possible!

I'll be posting updates about the comic process and the rewards through kickstarter, facebook, and twitter! So follow me, friend me, lets keep in touch! If you have questions, message me on facebook, twitter, or kickstarter!

I love you guys. Your support means the world to me.

I think we can all agree that it's not the end of the world if you can't manage it and that it would have been hard to think up a $10,000 reward without knowing whether you'd make it or not! So I wouldn't worry yourself if you're not able to do it. It was just a really intriguing reward, actually being a part of the comic and I can see why you want to do it to actually benefit the story! Hopefully you figure out a way to do it properly, even just a 100-odd crowd shot with tonnes of happy little backers haha!

Sincerely ecstatic for you anyway, you've done brilliantly and I can't wait to get my hands on the comic! Great idea to maybe send out certain rewards earlier as well, I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate it if you find a way to do so.

Hey good call, Jake. I should dig those up. I scrapped those bonus goals a week ago because I didn't think I had any chance of reaching them. I'll take a look at them. I think the t-shirt goal was $30 for two t-shirts? I'll double check because I like the idea of bringing that one back.

The $250 reward bonus is a little more complicated. I'll get back to you after I get in touch with the current $250, $500, and $1000 people. I want to make sure that they are appropriately rewarded for their incredible generosity, but I also like the idea of featuring as many of my backers as possible. And, if striking that balance wasn't hard enough, I want to make sure that I improve rather than impair the story by featuring lots of backers while increasing the importance of the $250, $500, and $1000 backers.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying 'no' to drawing more backers into the comic just yet. But I will have to think about it. The old $10,000 bonus reward wasn't well thought out because I didn't think I had a chance of hitting it. Never been happier to be wrong.

Hey Pete, I also had a question. Is the update from a little while ago still relevant?
With the additional tiers of $9,000 and $10,000?
Just asking as I can see these tiers include both t-shirts AND the $250 reward etc.
No idea if you can still manage that with the number of backers, so just want to confirm :]

As I was sending out the surveys I had this feeling that I had forgotten something, but I dismissed it as some kind of self-conscious paranoia. Now, thanks to Brad, I've realized that I'm actually just stupid and forgot that shirts come in different sizes. Seriously Brad, thank you for reminding me. I'm going to send a separate batch of messages out later this week to sort all this out.

I just received the survey and picked which shirt I wanted but I noticed there wasn't any place to select a shirt size. Will there be an opportunity to do so at a later time?
