Underground Writers Association Fundraising Campaign
Help Underground Writers Association have a great 2019 by donating. We are raising money to become an officially certified non-profit!
Thank you for helping us become a certified non-profit organization!
Underground Writers Association is an informal nonprofit organization that helps writers get published. In 2018 we successfully launched two anthology books, along with creating two feature artist books. Coming into 2019 we have broadened our goals to make more exciting opportunities for writers. Our goal is to raise enough money so that we do not have to charge any submission fee's for The Poets of Maine & The Poets of New England anthology books in 2019.
Yes, you heard right. Free poetry competitions!
Our first year we released 4 books which included:
The Poets of Maine Anthology Vol. 1, The Poets of New England Anthology Vol.1, Things We Lost by Joel Carpenter & Seasons: Lovesong Antitheses by Jayjay Conrad
Goals for 2019
The Poets of Maine Anthology Vol. 2: Poets of Maine is A poetry competition for people who have lived or are currently living in the state of Maine. If funded submissions will begin Jan. 1st and end Feb. 1st.
The Poets of New England Anthology Vol. 2: Poets of New England is a poetry competition for writers who live in New England. If funded submissions will begin in the summer of 2019.
National/Global Anthology: If funded we will have a national review open to poets/writers/artists not just in America but all over the globe!
Touring Poets Books: We will create two books during the year comprised of 2-5 poets each.
Featured Artist Books: Two writers with complete manuscripts will be selected as featured artists. UWA will create their book and place it in bookstores.
