About this project
On May 2013 I was planning to open a cycle store in boxpark, it was a 2 year plan which was going to make me the 1st pop up store in boxpark to sell the type of bikes that I do. It was only assessment of risks and management of a growing high street retail business that I decided that if I could still open a bike store but not have the sort of risks including hiring employees, and then came the idea of webbing the idea. That is when I deciding what if I could bring the interactivity of walking into a bike store and view and purchasing products but onto the web.
Johnny Fixed will be a virtual 3D store for when the user logs on to the website domain the special interactivity allows you to use the mouse to move around the store in 1st person, view products in super crisp HD, zoom in and out and other functions as you would with a moderate pc game.
Cycling is a very popular sport especially in the UK, with many high profile events like the Tour De France, Olympics and World Championships to name but a few. But we have decided to keep to a certain niche and that is our own brand of fixed gear cycles, components and accessories.

The tackle for this part is that we are going to be collaborating with manufactures and suppliers day and night to create every single product here from scratch and also stamp our own personal brand on each
The Virtual Project Process:
We are currently sifting through the stages of planning and prototyping for the actual virtual store, the stages of our time plan include…
A Flat CAD design – producing a sky view template
Architecture prototype – sample 3d virtual store static prototype
Final architecture render – sample 3d virtual product store with more quality
Full bespoke design and sample process of products – creation of products on drawing with samples from manufactures
Initial products manufacture and ordering – designated QTY and order
Submit brief to 3rd person company – start to collaborate with virtual solutions company
Meeting with company to analyse sample products – brief to see how products are going to be view and scanned onto the virtual store
High render 3d scanning of products – process of individually scanning sample products
Creation of initial virtual store – start and finish creation of final virtual store
Hosting and web solution – find a perfect and suitable hosting solution for high quality website
Receive products from manufactures/suppliers – receive final designed products from manufactures
Create a storage solution for custom pickups – set up a storage facility for products
Launch of store – initial launch of store
Where we are now:
The flat CAD design – it started off as a small drawing from a sky view
The Architecture prototype – we collaborated with a high class renderer/designer to create the static prototype
Now we have a 3d template we can shape it into a much more visual and real render – looking at the room from the front of the store – it looks nice
A view from the back of the store – when the actually store is programmed you will be able to move all around the brown floor space- zoom, look up and down
Here is another example screenshot which we are working on. This is an example of what you would call the help guide or FAQ section. When moving to the front desk you will be able to interact with a virtual person behind the desk, asking for help. We are going to program the virtual storekeeper with a set of corresponding answers for which most questions are asked on a bicycle website. For example: Q: I brought a bike online am I able to pick it up. A: Yes, please contact us with your request.
The set of pre defined questions will be updated on a certain basis to the point of almost a realistic conversation can take place. The view is from a different angle but the person standing behind the desk is you or the user and you will be looking at the virtual store keeper from a 1st person sight.
We are on the Final architecture render stage creating screen shots and files for the initial 3d virtual development (we will upload more screen shots of functions and operations once they are finished)
We are 100% focused to make this idea a reality; we need your support to raise the money and in return we reward you with goodies and something new with a website and innovative. As we are on the very early development stage we are very open to feedback and will take every piece of information on board so we can give you a better experience for the final creation. We hope you can support us and thank you very much

Risks and challenges
Risks and challenges for us are only limited to our imagination of what kind of design and service that we can provide you, we set a corporate structure for our plan which is followed down to the last details, also leaving space for any edits or changes by feedback.
Some people may think what is so different and better about running a virtual store when I can just walking into a cycle store and ask a person. Our aim is to put a twist on the modern cycle store by being creative with the technology resources out there.
As just we will be operating as a website we thought that the interactivity and enjoyment of this new venture will make this website the best website that you have ever visited, putting the ability of the boring standard html 5 website to new heights.
The design and manufacturing of the self-branded products will be our most challenge yet, designing and processing over 10 different types of products with their own unique design which can consume us with product management but we anticipate a swift process if we scale production.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Yes you will be easily able to view the website like any other which will be optimized for any browser
Not at the moment but if this campaign is successful then we will be able to implement an app/mobile tablet friendly version of the site
Product viewing will be as clear as view the real thing this means the clearance of resolution will not fade where ever you are in the store
We are keeping manufacturing close (made in Britain) but we will come to the point when our only suppliers will be only available overseas due to costing’s and type of service
The website will not freeze or crash due to the high graphics or amount of users, we will have a custom hosting solution suited for our type of need
Gift we will offer are the same products we will be selling in store and we aim to send out products 6-8 weeks after initial samples
Our proposed deadline is mid-July but can extend this to end-July if we encounter any problems
