Vineyard Choclates is a new gourmet chocolate bar line that features wine flavored chocolate bars. This is a project that I have been working on for a year and a half. I have developed recipes and I have been selling my wine flavored chocolates to a couple of stores in my area.
Currently there are 3 flavors:
- Cabernet Dark Chocolate 73.5% Cocoa
- Merlot Dark Chocolate 61% Cocoa
- Chardonnay White Chocolate 34% Cocoa
The chocolate that I use as my base is an organic chocolate that originates from Venezuela. The tropical climate of Venezuela helps give a deep rich flavor to the cocoa which goes really well with my wine flavors.
Much like how wine can be paired with specific entrees, the wine flavors are paired with the right chocolate to give these chocolates sweet illuminating overtones. For example, the darkest wine flavor, the Cabernet, is paired with the darkest chocolate. The lightest wine flavor, the Chardonnay, is paired with the lightest chocolate, that being the white chocolate.
As of right now I have just enough materials to make prototypes and sell just a few bars at a time to stores. I am using this Kickstarter as a way to raise money so that I will have the materials needed to make a full production run where I can make 100 bars per hour, 1000 bars per day.

$2,100 is the goal for this campaign. If extra funds are raised past this goal all extra proceeds will go to paying for attendance fees so that I may attend the Fancy Food Show which will be held in January of next year. It is at this food show that I may be able to present my products to buyers for retail stores who are interested in new products such as mine. This food show would be great for meeting customers and future clients.

Risks and challenges
The possible challenges that may occur from a successful Kicstarter may be the inability to attend gourmet food shows. It is at food shows where entrepreneurs like me can introduce new products to retailers. If I do have a successful campaign, but I am not able to attend food shows I can still personally contact retailers one by one, but it is at gourmet food shows where I can make sales faster.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
