Keep Running Wild
Since 2010, we have relied on our supportive followers and growing audience to make independent films. With your help, we've produced more than ten feature films and over 100 short projects!
Now we're busier than ever with two feature films coming up for release, another about to enter production this Fall and more on the horizon.
Keep Running Wild with us!
Our first Western (we plan to make a lot more!) comes out this Fall. So why do need help with that?
Well, after working with distribution companies with poor results, we decided to stay independent and release our own movies. This worked really well with Durant's Never Closes: the movie played in 23 theaters around the U.S.
For Blood Country, we want to go over bigger. So far we have announced nine release dates and more are coming. It takes a lot of energy and resources to distribute a movie. We need your help to get Blood Country out to a wider audience!
We have some awesome rewards for this Mississippi-made Western! Check them out:
Blood Country DVDs
You can get your own copy of the movie and have it in time for Christmas or pick it up early at one of our showings!
"What Might a Man Do" T-Shirts
The tagline for our movie "What Might a Man Do" is spoken by our main character, outlaw Joe Loftin. These shirts, designed by Deep Fried T-shirt Company in Oxford, Mississippi come in RED or BLACK. Let us know which one you want!
The Blood Country Slate
You can own our slate (you know, the thing that we clap before a take), used every day on the set of Blood Country! This battle-worn trophy of filmmaking, decorated by our Assistant Camera Cat Leatherwood, can be yours. There's only one!
Bride of Violence
In January of this year, we made horror/thriller Bride of Violence based on the short story by famous crime author Lawrence Block.
We actually just completed picture lock on it (editing is done) and now the movie moves to sound mixing, color correction and composing the score. We need your help, not only to complete this process, but to make sure this movie also finds an audience!
We are considering several film festivals for Bride of Violence and any help you provide us will allow us to submit this low-budget horror movie to national and international film festivals!
We are providing some awesome rewards related to Bride of Violence!
Bride of Violence DVDs
Be the first to own a copy of our horror/thriller! If we can complete the film with your help in the next couple months, DVDs will be sent out in time for Christmas.
The Bloody Nail
The most important prop in our horror movie is a nail, used for quite disturbing purposes on several occasions. You can collect this one and only speciality item we used during filming!
This is your chance to be listed as one of the executive producers on our film. We will include your name on IMDb and in the opening and end credits of the movie.
The Cornbread Cosa Nostra
That's right, we have a new film we'll be producing this Fall! The Cornbread Cosa Nostra is a 1980s set crime movie about the notorious Dixie Mafia. We would describe the movie as Miami Vice by way of the Coen Brothers... wild, we know :)
Jeremy London, who acted in Blood Country, returns to play the lead role in this film, joined by an awesome cast of actors from the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Help us make the movie as good as it can be! Here are some fun ways to support our project and get involved:
Lunch with Jeremy London & Travis Mills!
Sit down at a restaurant on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for lunch with actor/producer Jeremy London and writer/director Travis Mills! Let's et some good Southern food and talk about making movies!
Visit the Set During Production
This is your opportunity to witness the creation of our new film! Join us on set where you can chat with cast and crew, watch us shoot The Cornbread Cosa Nostra, and learn the independent filmmaking process at Running Wild! We are very excited to have you be our guest.
Your Cameo Role
You receive a cameo role in the movie with dialog! We will find a character just right for you with at least one spoken line in our film. And don't worry, you won't end up on the cutting room floor. We are proud to include you in our film.
Be an executive on our new film! Your name will be on IMDb and in the opening/end credits of The Cornbread Cosa Nostra. Enjoy being a key part of the making of our film, talking with director Travis Mills about the process, reading the script, and much more!

Risks and challenges
It's tough to keep a film company alive in the ever-changing world of cinema. However we've been doing it since 2010 and we're not going to stop!
I run all aspects of the company (writing, producing, social media, etc.) with guidance from Gus Edwards (co-founder) and help from a group of freelance filmmakers (James Alire, Nick Fornwalt, Jared Kovacs and others) who work on various projects we do.
The risk for every film we make is to produce a quality film that can also be a commercial success and embraced by audiences. The biggest challenge is to keep up the momentum we have while staying fresh and making good films!
