About this project
"Lullabies from the Heart with Robert Robinson" Songs of Love and Comfort from nursery to nursing home. If you have ever needed music to soothe your soul and bring you peace... or sleep, we would love your support in bringing this project to life.
While Lev Productions touring with Robert for one of his national holiday tours, a fan approached Robert and shared her story:
She said, "Robert, I am an insomniac and I haven't slept for days. I often go weeks at a time without getting any rest. But I came here to your concert and I fell asleep almost instantly."
Robert wasn't sure how to react at first, but Rafael knew that Robert had done more than sing that day: Robert Robinson soothed his fan's soul.
This moment stuck with Rafael, reminding him how powerful music can be. Especially, when Robert Robinson is singing it.
Rafael was reminded of this moment after seeing a mother's plea on Facebook: she was having trouble getting her child to sleep, and was looking for any kind of help. Some suggested back rubs, and others suggested checking for monsters, others went so far as to recommend sleeping pills made for children.
For Rafael, the answer was obvious: Robert Robinson's music.
Robert has so much soul, the Minneapolis Star Tribune once referred to him as "God's Canary." Robert Robinson has been a cornerstone of the gospel community, and an icon in the Twin Cities for decades. He has released 13 albums, and his latest is like nothing he has ever done before.
Set to be released on October 8th, 2013 "Lullabies From the Heart with Robert Robinson" will set out to redefine the word “lullaby” to include any song with a universal message of love and comfort, making lullabies appropriate anywhere from the nursery to the nursing home.
Rafael enlisted Scott "Scooter" Nelson to help produce the album. An instructor at Minneapolis's Institute of Production and Recording, Scooter has won countless awards for his work with lullabies and children's music. He is also the drummer for the Minneapolis based group, The Tex Pistols. Scooter has worked with Robert on three of his past albums, including Inspiration.
Sean Turner will also be assisting with the composition and piano for the album. Sean is a teacher at McNally Smith College of Music, and has worked for high-caliber clients like Discovery Channel and Oprah Winfrey in the past. He has also done work with lullabies for all ages in the past, making him a strong addition to the team.
Children and adults alike will be soothed. Robert's voice can quiet the stress of the day, with just the push of the "play" button.
Investors have helped us get the project started; we have the songs selected and arranged, and have even been in the studio. We will use the money we raise from Kickstarter to pay those who have already given of their time so generously to breathe life into this project.
With your donations and support, we can make this dream into a reality for all of the people who need to hear it; the sad, the vulnerable, the lonely, and the tired can once again find peace through the vocals of Robert Robinson.
Thank you for viewing our project. We are all humbled by the talent of Robert Robinson, and have come together to spread his voice to those who have never
