270 to Win is a game about strategy, luck and knowledge, but most importantly, it’s about how well you know the history, strengths and weaknesses of the United States of America and if you have what it takes to rule over it and become the next president. Show your friends that you’re the most deserving of the greatest title in the world with this 2 to 8 players game and may the best of you bear the Seal of the President of the United States of America. Attain victory by proving your knowledge and skills, and design your own strategy in gathering 270 points in order to win the game. *Note* In case you do win, prepare yourself for the next elections because you may actually be the next in line to the presidency of the United States of America.

The idea of the game came to us by watching the actual US presidential election campaign in 2016. After we concluded that it is not that hard to become president and that anyone has a real shot at this, we decided to create this beautiful game in order to give you a taste of what it means to run for president. We work for the people and so we thought of sharing our idea with the whole world, so that it will serve you as a basis for initiation and training for this kind of job. Our main idea is simple: become the next president of the USA, or at least give the people the impression that you are prepared if it ever comes to this.

You roll the dice. This way, you are assigned by your state to be their candidate in the race for the US presidency. Then, together with your staff (team) and journalists (media), you hop on a coach and go on a campaign tour, from one coastline to the other and back, in an attempt to convince as many people that you are the perfect candidate and deserve to receive their votes in order to become the next US president. Throughout the campaign, you will face a series of challenges. Sometimes you will get lucky, many people campaigning in your favor and voting for you, thus surrounding yourself with success, whereas sometimes you will be followed by bad luck and everything you do will seem to not bear fruit. No matter the highs and lows, remember that the campaign is long and you will get many chances to turning the whole board in your favor. Do everything in your power to try to carry first of all the states with the most electoral votes to offer, and once you’ve done that, fight for those states with eagerness, to keep them on your side once you’ve won them over.
Prove your experience and your skill in identifying and solving the problems faced by the population and the country you dream to rule over. Everything is possible so you have to show the people that you are the most prepared in all of the areas that may be tackled within the game: from internal politics to foreign policy, the economy, business, environment, infrastructure, medical care, labor market and so on, and that you have extensive knowledge of America's history so that you will not fall into the trap of committing the mistakes of the past. You will prove your skill by listing all the decisions you have made and the actions that you have taken as the governor of your state - the state that has appointed you as their most desirable candidate. You will be conducting an ardent campaign and you will prove that you are able to walk in the footsteps of the founding fathers and write history, leading America to greatness. Bend the rules of the game around you. Focus on the things that matter. Do not ever give up. It's not over until it's over.
HOW TO ACTUALLY PLAY
On the board you can see 3 different spots where you can land with your bus once you roll the dice. The one with numbers on it corresponds to the Core Deck, in which you can find 51 cards, one for each state + capital. Once you land on that spot, the state is yours. But there's a catch. In order to win the state, you have to first take one card out of the Liberty Deck and answer a certain question. Give a correct answer and only then the state will be yours.
But this is not all. Now comes the tricky part:
- The red and green spot on the board is for the Luck Cards, 'cause once you land on it and you take one card from this deck, you will get lucky instantly. So depending on what it says on the card, you might get to roll the dice again, exchange one of your states with one of your opponents' if it suits you better or even go to the nearest state you don't have and win it without answering any questions.
Now even though the Luck Deck is a boost of confidence, our personal favorite is the third and last spot on the board, which is all about movement...or the lack of it.
- The spot with black arrows on a yellow background belongs to the Chance Deck. Once you land on one of these and pick a chance card from this deck, you might get asked to go back to where you started from, to move your bus 3 spots to the left or to even wait a turn.
*Note that every one of these cards is different, making it a total of 31 Chance Cards and only 10 Luck Cards because just like in life, not everyone gets lucky, but there's a chance at every crossroad.*
Setting the Core Box aside, there are also the Expansion Packs, depending on the pledge level you choose. And if you're wondering what the other decks are about, the Peace Deck, Independence Deck and Freedom Deck give you extra questions from various domains regarding the US so it would be like playing a different game every time, whereas the Kids' Decks are just like the Liberty Cards, but with questions appropriate for children so that they can play as well, on their own.
We designed the game based on how we’d like to play it, but we haven’t done it for us, but for you, the people. Precisely because of this aspect, we’d like to give you, our Kickstarter backers, the possibility to engage into the making of the game, to give you a chance to express your opinions and ask you to share with us suggestions, preferences and ideas about what you’d like to see in it. This being said, if you think you can play it differently, or that you believe it should contain something else, you are more than welcome to share your thoughts with us. We will weigh them in and the best ideas will be added to the existing game and implemented further on.
The pledge does not include shipping, therefore, you will be asked to pay it after the Kickstarter campaign has ended, from the Pledge Manager level, according to the results of the campaign and stretch goals unlocked. (Prices are not final and might slightly change in the Pledge Manager level).
Although the shipping price may be too high for some of you, we can ensure you that with a relatively small number of backers, this is the only way the game will be received by you in the original form in which it was presented and with all the improvements in the established terms.
However, if you happen to surprise us with your involvement and exceed our expectations, as the number of backers grows, we offer a reduction in the shipping price from the manufacturer’s discount.
Moreover, later in the campaign, a stretch goal will become available that will result in a diminished price for shipping. So while we reach a number of copies produced, this will allow us to reduce the shipping price, because of the possibility to reach manufacturers in the US and Asia.
*Note* these discounts are available this time only. After the campaign has come to an end, if you want to purchase the game, you will pay the normal shipping fees required for your country.

Risks and challenges
We are very well aware of the setbacks that may occur during the game’s production, but we promise to make sure this project is completed successfully and shipped in a reasonable period of time. We assure you that we've consulted manufacturers over here as well as abroad with respect to a list of prices for our project and we're fitting into the set amount.
