The International Standard Organisation (ISO) has established basic standards for watches. In Switzerland, these standards are called “Normes Industrie Horlogère Suisse” or “NIHS”.
A watch that is described as waterproof without additional indication of overpressure conforms to criteria set out in NIHS 92-10 (equivalent to ISO-2281 international standard).
'Waterproof’ watches are dedicated to ordinary everyday use. They can be used in conditions of changing air pressure, water pressure or temperature. However, even if there is an overpressure indication, they are not intended to be worn for underwater diving.
In our assembly process, we run a test on every watches to assure the tightness of KLOK-01 to 5m. However, we guarantee KLOK-01 as water resistant as set out in NIHS 92-10. For those interested in more technical features about water-resistance: NIHS 92-10 standard is entitled “water resistance of small watches”.
This standard describes the term, specifications and test-procedures required to call a watch as “water- resistant”. A watch can be called “water-resistant” if it passes the following construction (pre-production) tests:
• the watch has been put into water in a depth of 10 cm for one hour ;
• the watch has been put on a heating-plate (40-45 degrees Celsius) for 30 minutes ;
• a drop of water at 18-25 degrees Celsius is given contact with the glass for 1 minute ;
• no condensing water could be found on the inner side of the glass during the production, and
• each watch then must successfully pass the following tests to use the term “water- resistant”.
• testing with air: a watch with an inner pressure of 1 bar will be tested with a pressure of 2 bar.
• a maximum mass-flow-rate of 50 ug/min is allowedLast updated:

The minute jumps from 5 to 5 minutes. You can read 5mn, 10mn, 15mn, 20, 25, etc. In each 5mn interval you “can live your own time”. After 4mn59s past, the hand accurately moves to its next position!
Once the hand arrives to 60mn, it moves back to its original position 00 (retrograde function).
The little window at the top of the hand helps you to read the figures.Last updated:
