I'm raising money for my new short film, a romantic comedy about how living in the digital age doesn't necessarily mean it's easier to make a connection with someone. The story follows Kristen, a young actress living in New York, who ends one relationship and tries to start something new via an online dating website. Brianne Moncrief ("All My Children" and the upcoming Will Ferrell movie "The Other Guys") is starring in the film, and it's a spin-off of a feature film that I'm developing called "Falling for Gracie," a romantic comedy about a struggling young musician who meets the girl of his dreams on a New York City subway train, and goes to great lengths to find her.
Making this short film is the first step in the process of bringing "Falling for Gracie" to the screen, and it will be used to promote the development of the feature film as I continue my fundraising efforts.
Thanks to sites like Kickstarter the audience now has the power to "greenlight" a movie. If you think the short and "Falling for Gracie" are movies that you'd like to see, then pledge your support and MAKE IT HAPPEN! You will become an important part of a very exciting process, and you'll get some cool stuff out of it (how about a role as an extra in the movie or an invitation to the wrap party?) Plus your credit card will not be charged until I reach my fundraising goal, hopefully by the end of February. No amount is too small and your support will bring me one step closer to shooting my next feature film.
Whether you are able to make a pledge or not, please help spread the word by sharing this project with your friends, family, and colleagues. It really will make a difference. Thanks so much for your support, and I'm looking forward to making a movie with you!
