IN PLACE is a collective of artists from Dublin, Belfast and Glasgow. We want to change the way Dubliner's interact with vacant urban space. Instead of viewing the multitude of empty spaces we see every day as 'non-places,' we want you to revalue disused space for it's latent potential.

Over the next month we'll be transforming 12 Tara Street, from a vacant office building, in to a functioning art gallery, where we will host our final exhibition in September. As a symbolic space, we want 12 Tara Street to be testament to the potential of so many empty spaces within our city. But, we can only make the necessary changes to the space with support from you!

In conjunction with our exhibition, we are producing a photo book. The photo book is a compilation of photo essays and text, that document our time in the empty spaces we are utilising for this project. As we can't invite you in to many of these spaces with us, the photo book is our way of bringing you with us in to Dublin's disused spaces.

Below are some images of our totes, prints and zine. We can't show you the photo book yet as it can only evolve with the project itself.

Risks and challenges

Maybe you'll give us too much funding and we'll have to produce more of the lovely gifts we're offering in exchange for you support. In which case, we'll get to work and extend the delivery deadline.

Maybe you won't fund us at all. In which case, we'll keep working blindly towards our deadline and hope for the best!
