Introducing the Solid Ground Guitar Stand
The Solid Ground Stand was born from the idea that fine acoustic and electric guitars deserve to sit on something more appealing than metal, chrome, plastic, foam, and rubber. Many of these more common and widely used guitar stands function poorly and put your prized instrument at unnecessary risk. But even those stands that might work better don't do much for the aesthetic appeal. Most guitars are beautiful displays of fine craftsmanship, and in many cases they are amazing works of art! So, wouldn't you rather display them on a stand that is equally beautiful and functional?
First of all, if you're like me, you want a stand you can trust; one that actually holds your guitar and is not some crazy balancing act. With the firm, but gentle hold of the Solid Ground Stand, you can have complete confidence your guitar is safe and secure.
For stability, it must have three feet on the floor, not four (think of a camera tripod). This stable three point stance will sit steady even on a rough or uneven surface.
All contact points with your guitar are covered in finish-friendly genuine suede leather. The Solid Ground Stand also folds up easily for storage or transport, and does not have to be assembled and disassembled.
Finally, like a piece of finely handcrafted furniture, the Solid Ground Stand will compliment even your nicest guitar. Each stand is finished with natural hand-rubbed oil and wax which achieves a durable finish with a nicely subdued sheen and a silky feel. The design of this stand will also comfortably accommodate most acoustic and electric guitars.
How to Fold & Unfold a Solid Ground Stand
If you're like most guitar aficionados you probably have a lot invested in your guitars. Have you ever been concerned about trusting them to some cheap guitar stand? Have you ever wanted to display your fine guitar on a beautiful hardwood stand to compliment your guitar’s quality and craftsmanship? Being a guitar player myself, I have too, on both accounts. After searching far and wide, I couldn’t find what I wanted, so about 2 years ago I set out to invent one of my own. After months and months of sketches, drawings, models, several prototypes, and numerous jigs, I finally arrived at this functional and attractive design and decided to call it the Solid Ground Stand.
We have already accomplished a lot by completing the design and refining our production jigs and build process. We have also had great responses at several high-end guitar shows, such as these shown here:
We are now ready to step up production and bring these stands to a much larger audience, but we need your help! As you know, advertising is quite costly, but with your help we can enlarge our marketing campaign and spread the word about Solid Ground Stands.
By supporting this project you will be rewarded not only with a beautiful guitar stand, but you may even sleep better at night knowing that you helped put a lot more guitars on Solid Ground!
So, please support our Kickstarter, share us through your favorite social media, tell all your guitar buddies, and put your guitar on Solid Ground!

Risks and challenges
We have already worked out the design and production issues and are ready to produce these stands at a higher volume. Our only real risk involves the steady supply and sourcing of the premium hardwoods that meet our high quality standards. We have worked with several dependable suppliers and we do not anticipate any supply issues. However, being a responsibly utilized natural resource, the availability of these hardwoods occasionally ebbs and flows, especially when it concerns any of the imported exotic woods. We are committing to ship as many stands as possible by June 2018 (perhaps sooner). It will depend somewhat on the total volume of pledges. We would expect to ship all stands for this campaign by July or August. We will keep you fully informed of these topics and how they may affect the delivery schedule.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
