Arkayden relaunch on August 18, 2013
In the next few months we are going to travel to different game shops in our area to demo the game, on open game night. A few people from the kickstarter are going to receive a demo kit to play the game. This is open for the next week and on May 22 anyone who has sent us an e-mail requesting a demo kit shall receive one. We will mail them demo cards and rules to play the game.
This is not the end of Arkayden, we still plan on releasing the game February 2014. So please visit us at our Facebook fan page, for getting updates. We will post dates and times when we are going to the game shops. Here are some of the cities we plan on going to Concord California Black diamond games, Sacramento, Pleasanton, Berkeley and Petaluma. Thank you to all the backers who pledged.
Arkayden takes place in a world where gods have fought over ancient technology, transforming most of the planet into a barren wasteland. The world's farmlands are being fought over with mystic powers that come from the Arkayden relics left on the planet after the Ancient War of the Gods. However a looming threat is emerging from the ever violent Volcano Lands, vicious demons whose evil intent may doom them all.
Arkayden is a two player game which is played with two decks, a army deck and a fate deck and use dice to do combat. Arkayden combines all of the strategy and fun of a traditional battle card game experience along with the depth of a board and miniature war game.
I've been a gamer most of my life - Miniature war gaming, MTG card Game and video games, and role-playing games. I have been a Game Master over a thousand or more hours in the last 16 years, in games I've made and store bought games. I have made 8 games that has given me much pleasure over the years. I've always wanted to take my games from local market to the mass market so that others could enjoy my work.
Printing & Promotion: We will only deliver a high quality professionally printed game. We are asking for the bare minimum to get this game produced and off the ground. The majority of the money raised will go to the printing & promotion of the game.
Shipping & Supplies: Shipping is always an expense. Plus we want to make sure your games & extras are packed in the best possible way. We are in this for long haul. Some of the money is for future sets and card development. As Kickstarters pledges you guys are core. We want to give our full support to Arkayden, so we here at Little Gremlins can keep putting out the best product we can.
We appreciate all who contribute to our project. Thank you all for helping us to bring our dream to reality.
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
We've done our best to minimize unknowns as much as a company can, and we are always happy to refund pledges if for some totally unforeseen reason the game can't be delivered at all. Since the game is mostly ready and many card is in either an advanced stage of design or ready for production. 90% of the art is done. In effect, we have eight months to print and produce Arkayden. We've given ourselves a large window and if we can, will deliver the game early.
The misspellings could be the names of the characters. Example Alphaius, that is how the character's name is spelled in the Arkayden world. It's like pokemon with their unusual character names how do you know they were misspelled.
