Envies Flavor Shots for Beer, Vodka & Tequila
Envies makes any beer, BETTER! Liquid single-serving beer flavoring. Add to any 12oz to 20oz beer. It's a Party in Packet!
Squeeze a tiny packet of Envies into any beer to make it much sweeter and flavorful. It's only 2ml of clear liquid (no artificial colors) made from natural sweeteners and flavors, that requires just a gentle swirl of your bottle, can or glass of beer to mix. No stirring necessary.
Tail-gating with friends? Grab a case of Coors, Bud or Michelob... with a few packets of Envies everyone gets an awesome tasting, personally flavored beer.
And here's a little bonus... it's AWESOME at flavoring tequila and vodka shots if that's your thing.
The packets are super small, so carry a handful in your pocket into any event where they serve plain ole' beer. How about the pizza joint down the street that only has two beers on tap? Bring Envies and suddenly you have any flavored drink you want!
WE NEED YOU! Envies can only become a reality when we hit critical mass to partner with co-packers and flavoring houses to take the recipe out of our kitchen and into a real product. We've poured everything we have into R&D flavor development, literally thousands into ingredients alone. We even considered buying our own packaging machines, but at six-figures $$$ for the machines we would need... co-packers will be the only realistic way to get Envies out and into your hands.
Less cost, more flavor.
- Party Without Envies

- Party With Envies
A 24-case and some packets of Envies. Cost: $20.Flavors: Endless!*
*Okay, so there are four flavors right now (technically not endless). But we just *might* have a stretch goal to increase the number of flavors.
So many beers, so little time. There are way too many brews on the market for us to try all the combinations. We promise to try of course! We formulated Envies specifically with the mainstream options in mind, including Bud Light, Coors Light, Mich Ultra, etc. But there's no reason to stop there. BE CREATIVE! A few of our early taste-testers even showed us that Envies is great with Guiness, vodka and tequila too. Though not all at the same time... .

The idea came about tail-gating with friends. We're all sharing a case of the same ole' beer and got to thinking there has to be a way to flavor this better! Without buying a load of expensive craft brews and sweet malt beers. We assumed Crystal Light or Mio's might work... well we learned with wasted beer that it doesn't work!
After not being able to find anything available to flavor our beer, we set out to create it ourselves. Over the course of nearly two years we taste-tested hundreds and hundreds of flavoring combinations with many types of beer. We found WAY MORE failures than successes, making Coors taste like cough syrup and making Bud taste like Alkeselzer. The worst combination tasted like fish oil!
Finally in 2015 we came across the perfect combining balance of sweetener and flavoring to turn a Bud Light into a Blue Moon or ShockTop like citrus enhanced drink. Since then we've developed over a dozen total flavors that work incredibly with most main-stream beers. We picked what we believe to be the most popular flavors to start going to production.
Concept to Product
The next challenge we faced was taking our 'kitchen formula' recipe and making it 'packagable'. We're working with a food chemist to make this transformation happen.
Once we have the formulations it'll be time to get it produced, packaged and distributed so we can share awesome Envies Beer Flavoring shots with the world!
Risks and challenges
The food and beverage industry has turned into an interesting learning experience. The right kitchen recipe often times isn't suitable for packaging and storage. Changing the recipe for packaging can often change the taste, the scent and strength. Of course adhering to FDA guidelines along the way from ingredients to nutritional facts label requirements is it's own challenge and test of minutiae. Shelf-life testing is a critical component of sealed products which must factor in ingredients, packaging material, and method of packaging. Along the path of R&D we considered purchasing our own form-fill-and-seal machines, but determined it would be best to partner with a contract packager when initially kicking off the project. We've sunk all we have to get to this point, and only with supporters will Envies see the light of day!
Mind you, we're not first-time entrepreneurs. We started a jewelry company four years ago. This enabled us to leave corporate jobs to explore and create! Today that jewelry business has over 1,500 retailers carrying the line. So we at least know our way around production, customer service and e-commerce.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
