The Countdown Begins!
The countdown begins – 9 days to go until our deadline! We have currently raised $31,052 thanks to you, our 262 backers. That means if we can get just 189 Beatle fans to pledge $100 each over the next 9 days, GOOD OL’ FREDA will be fully-funded. Thanks for continuing to help us spread the word!
FYI, we keep getting emails asking about US/UK conversions. A $100 USD donation would be about 62 pounds. We have also received many emails asking if you can change your pledge amount – the answer is YES – just click on “manage my pledge” and you can change your amount at any time and upgrade your reward if you choose to. Finally, many of our backers have contacted us to let us know they are buying these rewards as gifts for Beatle-obsessed loved ones – a great idea! We’ll work with you to make sure everything is shipped to the gift recipient and put that person’s name in the credits if you choose the $100 reward.
In this final week, we’re still looking for backers to fill many of the producer spots on the film – associate producer, co-producer, and even executive producer credits are still available. So if you have any friends who want to get into the film industry or just want to see their name on the big screen with a major credit (and on IMDb and all other major movie websites), please pass them our way. The “Night w/ Freda Kelly” reward is also still available – Freda will come to your home or venue of choice and give a private three-hour discussion about her decade with the Beatles!
A few press updates on Freda: look for upcoming interviews with Scott Acton and Cha Chi LoPrete. Also listen below to Freda’s interview this past week (in two parts) with Glenn Calderone and co-host Lucy Diamond on Beatles Across the Universe WRCN.com/103.9FM broadcast from Long Island NY.
Check out the photo of Freda taken below by our amazing director of photography, Austin Hargrave. Austin was UK Photographer of the Year (twice!) and is a very talented cinematographer. He will be shooting GOOD OL’ FREDA with his very unique eye and skills, which will undoubtedly give the film a beautiful aesthetic. We’re very lucky to have to him on board!
Please continue leaving comments on how you found out about the film or your own personal Beatles experiences. Freda enjoys reading them! And we’ve gained some traction on Twitter and Facebook lately. Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook and help us spread the word on those sites.
