CELEBRATE ST. PATRICK'S DAY WITH DARRAH CARR DANCE!
During the month of March, Darrah Carr Dance will be sharing our love for Irish dance throughout New York City and beyond. We are delighted to announce a wide variety of upcoming events that are designed to reach audiences ranging from children to seniors. These include: public performances, benefit concerts, workshops, and lecture/demonstrations. Please see below for a full list of our upcoming engagements!
Please join us in celebrating St. Patrick's Day by making a contribution toward our production costs this month. Your donation will cover rehearsal space rental, costuming, music editing, and travel expenses. No contribution is too small (gifts start at $1.00) and your support is greatly appreciated. Our Kickstarter campaign closes at 11:59pm on Friday, April 5th, so please consider making a donation now!
As with any not-for-profit organization, we owe much of our continued success to the support of individual donors. We are very proud of the past year’s accomplishments which include: a 2012 Bessie Award Nomination for our work with guest choreographer Seán Curran, a sold-out New York season at the Irish Arts Center, and participation in the inaugural "Focal Point" percussive dance showcase at Ailey Citigroup Theater.
We hope that you will be able to attend one of our upcoming events in order to see the company - and your contribution - in action! I look forward to sharing our dance, our delight, with you. . .
With best wishes and many thanks,
Artistic Director, Darrah Carr Dance

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge we might face after our Kickstarter project is funded is raising additional funds for unforeseen production costs as we fulfill our St. Patrick's Day Season Engagements. We will address this potential challenge by holding fundraising events (such as open rehearsals and a benefit party) in order to cover these costs. As a fifteen-year-old organization, we are well equipped to turn to loyal supporters who can help raise additional funds in short periods of time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
