By teaching others how to eat better using old-world methods, I feel I can better serve and entertain my audiences. Read more
This project was successfully funded on July 1, 2012.
I am very moved by everyone's generosity.
To those that have made pledges, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Many of you have shared your personal stories with me. Some are about why you are making the pledge, some stories are about your love and passion for cooking and baking, and others just are willing to help out. Once again, thank you.
We've just passed 18% of the goal. I would love to be able to reach $4500 the goal. I've put forth challenges on my Facebook page. Every time a $500 increment is made on Kickstarter, I post a recipe on my fan site. We are $190 shy of the next recipe.
I know many people in this economy want to show their support, but cannot; I understand. I appreciate all of you sharing my story with others so that this can oven can become a reality. I've baked breads and baked other goods in a cast iron pot on a fire, but it's not the same as being able to work with an oven. I know that this project will add to the ambiance of my shows and help me and my assistants provide a higher-level of performance at each of our shows.
I hope that you will continue to share with others about this campaign. I am humbled by your pledges. I love to teach and pass along cooking techniques and recipes to others as my great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents did for me.
