Are you tired of games that do not have everything you want? I know I am. For example: Guild Banks. Who creates a game but does not give you access to the bank right away? All of the current games, that’s who. It’s sad.
I will start at the beginning and work my way through the game.
Title: “Your World” is not going to be the actual name of the game. This name is currently used to simply stress the vision of the game. I may hold a contest to select the actual name, with some cool rewards for the contest winner. Additionally, server names may be created by the users.
Server Selection: Server selection will be chosen based on the type of world you wish to create as a home for your Avatar. Each server will be different than the others, and aspects of that server will be suited to your Avatar. Avatars on a water world server, for example, will posses an underwater breathing skill. Furthermore, a volcanic world will allow Avatars to possess a boost in resistance to fire. You will not have to create a character on a separate server just to experience that server’s attributes; you simply travel to that world using a shuttle, or your own ship.
Avatar Creation: You will be able to create your very own race from a set of body parts, which may be placed onto a generic model. Many games allow you to design your own character. This game, however, will be more extensive; giving you the ability to customize hair color, eye color, skin tone, and more. Available body parts to mix and match will include, but are not limited to, Elf ears, Orc trunks, Dwarf legs, Human heads, hands and arms, etc. If you like the way your Avatar looks you may also submit your completed design to us and, if we like it, we may use it as a premade character for others to randomly select and use. Show off your creation by running through your world with your armor off, well, with underwear on that is.
Note: Characters will not be permitted to run around buck naked…. Or can they? Every game needs a good mystery. Keep checking back for updates to our ideas pertaining to adult worlds, and submit suggestions as our game grows.
Relationships: Avatars will be able to marry other Avatars, and the sex of the characters will not matter. Once married, you will be able to share a home with your significant other. Couples may have children, whether through relationships or through adoption, and their children will grow up to be your future characters.
Items: In game items may be acquired through questing and general game play, or via purchase with real world cash. Gamers may link Paypal and/or Amazon accounts directly to their game accounts in order to purchase items. Are you sick of games with item vendors who only sell useless items? This game will not have those vendors. Our vendors will sell green items at the lowest level, and the item levels increase as your character increases.
Mounts: Are you tired of spending most of your in game time running through worlds? In our game you will be able to purchase and use a mount at level 1. Additionally, you will be able to use flying mounts in all worlds as opposed to other games where you are only permitted to use your flying mount in select worlds. Do not expect a horse to fly; however, a horse with wings can indeed fly wherever you need to go. Various mounts will exist for different types of terrain, such as water, land, etc. Mounts will have successive levels to speed. For example, a car will be faster than a horse, and a dragon will fly faster than a winged horse. Items may also be purchased which will enable faster mount speeds. Lastly, you will be able to keep your mount, as mounts will last for your entire in game life. Mounts may be named and attachments may be made, so players will find little need spend money on additional mounts.
Lore: Lore will be minimal in the beginning. We would like to see how gamers formulate their own quests and lives. There will not be the “end game” material found at the end of such games as World of Warcraft, or the class material found in Star Wars: The Old Republic. While the content in such games is beautiful, we believe that lore should be based around the world you have created for yourself.
PVP/PVE: All worlds are PVE; however, you will have complete control of your own PVP status at all times. Specific zones will be PVP zones, but you get to decide whether you are there to participate or just sit back and witness the mayhem. Battleground zones will automatically flag a character for PVP until the character leaves the field. Ideas are currently in development for one-on-one PVP fights.
Cities, Towns and Land: Much like Second Life, you will be able to purchase and create a home for yourself based on a premade model. Additional customization of land is a project we are contemplating. Although cities are developed and controlled by us, you will be able to create neighborhoods or developments with taverns, armor shops, weapon shops and more. Within your town you may slaughter animals for food or simply breed animals, create a garden and harvest crops, and sell your harvested items. You may give other players keys to your home or buildings, and revoke their rights to those keys if needed. Is another character pissing you off? Simply revoke their rights to your town, your home, and more. Your characters and others will be able to gain a resting bonus for resting in your home. Beware: if your town is marked for PVE the environment may assault the town you have created, and you will have to defend it to protect it or win it back. As you defend your town you will gain town experience, and may trade experience points in for stronger NPC’s to defend your town in the future. Until you have conquered the environment and defended your town you will not be able to gain anything from your town.
Quests: We are currently attempting to develop ways in which you may create your own quests, and visitors to your town can gain experience from the quests they complete. Players questing in your town may gain items or trophies from their quests and kills.
Auction House: All players are permitted to use the Auction House, and players of different factions may buy from and sell to one another. In game gold, or real life money may be used to purchase items in the Auction House. Note about Selling on the Auction House: Price your items accordingly. When you post an item for sale on the Auction House, and another player purchases your item with real world money, you will receive 50% of the sale for that item. 45% will stay within the game to help pay for the game itself, and 5% will be donated to charity. We support human rights issues such as healthcare, housing, jobs, food, schools, etc. You will be able to choose the destination for your 5% donation, from a list of charities.
Guilds: Players will have access to Guild banks from the start, as well as other guild perks and player boosts. Your character may be a member of more than one Guild at a time. Like many other RPG’s your character may don attire that represents the Guild.
Note on Guilds: Guilds may pool their money in an effort to build a town where they may sell their wares within their own town. As the Auction House takes a percentage of the profit, this is but one way in which players may sell their wares without having fees deducted. When a player sells an item in Guild shops, they will receive 50% of the purchase price, and the Guild will benefit from the other 50% however. This is incentive for working together as a team.
Production, Gathering and Professions: Standard game professions will be available to all characters, such as: Herbalism, Mining, Fishing, Armor Crafting, Weapon Making, etc. The best part is, you will be able to access your crafting abilities with special applications as well as in the game. Application fees will apply to download of the app, but being able to spend your in game time questing instead of working on skill levels for professions makes the minimal app. fee worth the cost. You will have the advantage of fishing from your doctor’s office, or leveling your herbalism skill from the grocery store, and crafting weapons on long car trips.
Leveling: Level caps will not exist. As you grow in levels, so will your game content. Your world will not be limited.
Space and Beyond: We are working on additional content so that you will be able to travel from one world to another, and gain access to space travel. At this level you will be permitted to participate in multi-world quests and PVP events. You will also be able to buy or create your very own spaceship, which allows you to enter into space battles with hordes of creatures that have also gained access to space travel levels. At this point the world must work together. Quests and puzzles will need to be completed, and items will be handed in to the world council.
Although content in games is ever changing, we hope this overview of current development excites potential investors as much as it excites us. The potential rewards for donations will change over the next 30 days, so keep checking back as they will only get better.
