KILLER SHOW is a web show that's not afraid to let it all hang out. Rocking the web with celebrity interviews, DVD news, gossip, and original skits.
About two and a half years ago I started a website called KillerFilm.com that was basically a way for me, a few fellow filmmakers and film fans to rant about movies. Only the site started to take precedence over our filmmaking habit, so we decided to brainstorm a way to keep the site rolling while at the same time fulfill our filmmaker cravings. KILLER SHOW is the product of those initial brainstorming sessions.
In order to make KILLER SHOW the way we want to, without outside influence we decided to try and raise the funding we needed through nontraditional means (KICKSTARTER), and we also wanted to create a show that was interactive, could be experienced thorough the website, and that allowed fans of the site and show to interact with it through comments, webcam chat, live blogging, and other new media tools available to internet users. The funds raised will help pay for sets, wardrobe, equipment rentals, and travel expenses so that we can create a high quality web show.
The show's premise is simple. Two hosts (Donny Broussard & Amy Wickenheiser) will introduce viewers to a host of characters that will provide the lowdown on upcoming DVD releases and films opening in a theatre near you. They'll also interview your favorite celebrities, give away crazy amounts of swag, and pepper in funny skits as well.
Your pledges will help us create the best show we can, and allow you as a viewer to navigate the direction we take. The web is a new frontier for media artists, bloggers, musicians, and fans of popular culture. Our goal is to create an immersive experience that will keep you coming back for more. You can follow our progress at http://killerfilm.com and don't forget to leave your suggestions by commenting or dropping us an email to tell us what you think would make the show a success.
Thank you in advance for all of your support.
