Chaos Reborn Limited Edition T-Shirts

Posted by Julian Gollop (Creator)

I am pleased to announce that we are now offering limited edition 30 Year Chaos Anniversary T-Shirts, exclusive to backers.

The design features a black T-shirt with the Chaos Reborn logo on the front and a special message on the left sleeve reading '30 YEARS OF CHAOS 1985-2015' and the gooey-blob sprite from the original Chaos, which is my personal avatar. It is an Anvil Jersey T-shirt made from pre-shrunk combed ringspun cotton (meaning it's very soft and comfortable).

I have created reward tiers which add the T-shirt to the original rewards, so if you would like a T-shirt all you need to do is change your existing reward for the equivalent reward plus T-shirt. Shipping is included for US residents. Please add $5 shipping for delivery outside the US.

NOTE: If you have backed at $250 or higher, you will automatically get a T-shirt included in your reward at no extra cost!

Additional T-Shirts

If you want additional T-shirts, please add $30 for each additional T-shirt you want to your existing pledge level. Shipping in the US is included in the price. For delivery outside the US, please add $5 per T-shirt.

At the end of the Kickstarter campaign you will be sent a survey for you to provide information for your mailing address and T-shirt sizes.

T-shirts will be delivered to backers before the end of May 2014. However, we will endeavour to be as quick as possible with this delivery, so I hope you will get them sooner.

I'd pay good money for an official Julian Gollop-benefiting "Gooey Blob" t-shirt, just a single, giant blob on the front and the Chaos Returns logo on the sleeve. ;)

@INCARNADINE thanks, I had one of those (and an Underwurlde shirt:) on my Christmas List but didn't get one:) I'll hold out for now and see if I can get something to further support Chaos Reborn.

@ code::Biscuit you can get original chaos t shirts and some other stuff, dont think Julian gets a cut but you are interested the link is i bought one of these and would have to say the colours arent very vibrant but something is bettter than nothing.

@Valqorez I guess that if having different t-shirts for each tier would make them considerably more expensive, then it isn't probably worth going that way. The question really is how much more expensive the shirts would be by having the pledge level written in fancy letters under the CR logo. If it is a big difference, then forget about it. If not, it could actually bring in more money by having people pledge at higher levels.

Also, since the shirts will only come out after the kickstarter is finished, you will know know precisely how many shirts you need to make. In other words, there is no risk of making 500 "Wizard King" shirts and only selling 170. If there are 170 Wizard Kings, you make 170 "Wizard King" shirts.

@Jorge Timóteo Don't misunderstand me - I completely agree with you. I think it's a great idea. But having higher costs means the Tee would be more expensive, and may put some people off from buying them, and at the higher tiers it would mean more of their pledge money is being used to offset the shirt (money I'm sure we'd all prefer was spent on the game).

@Valqorez I understand it would be more expensive to have different t-shirts for each tier, but perhaps that money could be offset by having people pledge at higher levels so that they could have shirts saying "Wizard King" or "Demigod". Do you imagine what it would be like to go to work with a shirt that said "Chaos Reborn God"? You probably couldn't keep the skirts away. I think different shirts would be a great incentive for shelling out a few dollars more.

@Jorge Timóteo The problem with different Ts at different tiers would make the whole thing more expensive. Having a run of 2000 identical Ts (in a selection of sizes) is a lot cheaper than having say 400x5 different designs.

While I like the new design, I'd love to be able to get a "Classic" 8-bit chaos shirt from you:)

I already have an unofficial Chaos t-shirt my brother gave me and I can't wait to get this one. It looks absolutely amazing. Still, might I suggest different t-shirts for each tier? It would probably be an extra incentive for folks trying to decide which level to pledge. No need for significant changes, it could be this very t-shirt (did I already say it looks fantastic?) with the pledge level written in spiffy letters under the Chaos Reborn logo. You couldn't get a shirt above your pledge level, so people would be like "Just way until I show up at work with my new Chaos Reborn Demigod t-shirt. I'll get promoted for sure!".
