As I earlier wrote I ordered one GPS antenna. The one I linked to further down in the comments. I have tried it and......it did not work. The antenna was flashing a red light and seems to be working but I can't see that any info is added in the recordings. It is quite possible that it is the wrong type of antenna for this camera, I don't know. I will try to rearrange some cables and see if that does anything to the better. Anyhow then you know how it worked.

I ordered one GPS antenna from Alabama.com and I received it last week from China. But......they sent one with a 3,5mm connector so I have not been able to use it. I emailed them and they sent one with 2,5mm connector at once. I hope to receive it like this week. I will update here as fast as I get it and if it works.
Regarding rear camera. It is only VGA quality but I was wondering if it is possible to replace it with any cam like webcam. It is USB connection. With a adapter from micro USB to regular USB it would fit. Anyone that have tried? Or is it most likely that it do not work?
@Leetcat: no I does not work to use USB to power it up. It runs on 12v and USB is 5v. You can cut the power cord and do a "fixed" installation to 12v. Then you have the cigg-power outlet free for other things. I would use any 12v connection that is turned on when you start the motor.
I see the creator actually logged in, but would not address our issues. I guess this is how businesses grow, by cheating the customers who backed the project and leave them out to dry.
@Dan: You adjusted the lens and got a good picture. Is it possible that you can measure with a caliper from lens to the botom of the "lens tube" or what to call it how long it is then it is easy to just make a ruff adjustment for us and see if we get a better picture. It is hard to see in that small screen if it is focus or not with out looking at a recording in the computer. I would be very grateful if you could measure what I explained above. :)
I have ordered one gps antenna now from ali express. It is a long shot så I do not know if it will work or not. I have seen that the gps antenna need to have 2.5mm connector and from the pictures of the bord in a realy post from clex it seems like the connector need to be a 3pin one. I have found that there is two types of antennas one with 4pins and one with 3pins. I will tell you all if it works. I ordered it just now and it will be sent from china so my guess is that it will take 3-4 weeks before it arrives.

I have also adjusted the lens some but was not able to complete that task due to time. Will continue with that and see if I can get a sharper image as Dan was able to.
@Tobias, yes they explained that, but they didn't explain all those other sites with the same camera produced by a totally different company. This company (http://www.gplus-i.com/) is providing full support and even firmware updates on there site. Something SDS is clearly not doing...
The voltage problem is one of the problems I figured out last week, and I think it's a software error. I drive a new car en when I measure the battery it's 15,5V but when I start the engine it drops to 13,2V for a second and the dashcam reboots. The threshold should have been higher, this would not have been a problem. Same thing with the G-shock sensor... it's useless. I sneezed last week, and my sneeze triggered the sensor... How weird is that.... I don't sneeze that loud!
I saw there was some fuzz abut some link that was posted recently that this was out earlier on eBay or similar. This was asked to them in the first days of this project and SDS explained that this was from when they tested the marked in Korea or where it was. But gave us a reason anyhow. Look in the beginning of this thread and you will find the answer from them.

How hård did you need to twist the lens? I tried some but I wonder if the outer part that holds the lens have some thread glue. I was a bit afraid that I destroy something if I add force. Did you twist it by hand or with a wrench or similar?

This restarting issue that many are talking about. I wonder if that is a fault. In the menu there is a section where you can choose at what voltage level it shall start. If you have a bad car battery this level won't be reached and this restarting phenomena may be the result. Have all that have this issue tried the camera in a car that have the motor running? When the motor is running you will have somewhere above 13V. When the motor is of the battery voltage often below 12V. I got this restarting issue when I was fixing with the camera with only the ignition on but the motor was not started. It stopped when the motor was running.
I can imagine that many of you guys and girls have done it the same way as me and just turned on the ignition just to get power in the high-power outlet and then you have tried the camera and got this restarting issue and never started the car just due to that you got angry of the restarting issue.
Try the camera once again with the motor running!! :)
So after playing with the camera for a week I finally have a good working dashcam.
I did had some problems that I had to solve myself.
First the picture on the front camera was out of focus, so I removed the sticker aroud the camera lens and that gave me enough room tu turn the focus lens by hand.
Now the picture is perfect.
I can clearly see the numbers of the cars in front of me.
Than the camera started restarting itself every few seconds.
I had to replace the power cable to fix this problem.
I hope that it will work now as it should.
Too bad that those problem were not solved by the manufacturer before shipping this product to the backers :(
Just needed to clear one thing.
I wrote that I bought it here.....I supported the project here. And Im aware that things can change during a project and that it is a risk. Still I have supported a lot of projects now and this is the only one where the finished product differs very much from what was in the campaign and changes has not been communicated. Any how I know that kickstarter projects is not a shop but in this case we have received something else then what we have been told to get if we supported this project.....
Got mine today. I was a bit worried due to all comments here about all issues.
This is how things worked for me.
1. First I did not get any memory card as was stated that it should be included. It was only a casing for one in the box with a empty adapter card.
2. The antenna for GPS was not included as also was stated that it should be.
All other things was in there.
The install was easy. The windscreen mounting part was really good. I like the solution that it is fasten with tape and it is really sturdy also no wobbling either on front or back camera.
The cam works and records as it should (not 1080p or i). The menu works and looks a bit like windows 8 or 10 i think if I compare the graphic layout. It does not look as the one in the campaign. I think the menus are OK and understandable. the screen works I would say as good as something do with this older type of touch screen. Not that responsive but works.
Battery time
I have seen some comments regarding battery time. There is no battery in these it is a super capacitor. So it runs ONLY with the 12v cable in. I guess that the super capacitor only is for having some power to remember date and time etc between usage. That is just a guess from my side. This is OK for me that is work like that and I more or lees expected it to work like that. I have not had any issues with rebooting or similar.
Image quality
As many have written the quality is not 1080p or i. If I look on files it say that it is 720 so it is HD for front camera. But for the rear camera that also sould have been 1080 it is only 640x480 in resolution so that one is not HD even.
The picture of the front one is kind of ok but yes it is not possible to read signs on cars so the picture is not that good. I have no other camera to compare with but one thing is sure and that is that the one on this project page was of a much sharper and better quality so I really expected better image. When it come to rear one it is blurry an out of focus. It is not a good picure and not as on project page.
Sound
Sound is good and no issues at all. It is sharp and everything that sound in the car sound OK. One thing I noticed for all of you who have looked on the computer of the video files. DO NOT USE WINDOWS OWN VIDEO PLAYER. If you use this one there will not be any sound! I also taught that the microphone was broken but that is not the case. If you use VLC as media player there will be sound. So try that if you do not have any sound. VLC is free and excist also on MAC.
Auto Recording of accident.
IT seems to work fine. I tried different settings of the g-sensor and it saves files in diffrent folders depending on if I brake or if the car moves fast in a bump or similar. Meantime if there is no g-sensor input the video files are in the normal folder. It split the video files in different files depending on time i think so there wont be like one big long move sort to say. I do not know if this is OK but it is all there and I guess that that is OK then. The file is marked with time and date and if it is front or rear camera.
GPS
It do not work due to that an antenna is needed and it was NOT included. This is the biggest issue I think beside the resolution. I have found antennas on E-bay that probably will work for 10-15 dollar but I will wait and see If SDS show up here help us with this.....I hope so any how.

I have no cam since earlier and this one works apart from GPS function. BUT the image quality is not what was shown in the campaign so I feel fooled on that part and would not have bought this If I did know that resolution was front 1280x720 and rear 640x480 and no GPS antenna.
I guess that I use it until I get something better or if it can be sent back for a refund.
That is my review of this thing...........I hope that the creator shows up and take care of all of this!

I can't tell you how displeased I am.
Hi everybody. I have done my best to be patient in this matter and await any sort of response from the leader of this project. Clearly there have been zero attempts to come up with solutions to the plethora of issues to be had. Kickstarter support actually had the audacity to tell me to contact a lawyer despite the overwhelming negative responses from fellow backers. Time to turn up the heat everybody and contact your financial institutions to back charge funds. Kickstarter seems to have taken the corporate thievery route and wants to brush us aside since the 224 of us that backed the project are just ungrateful and don't have anything better to do.
SDS logged in last week, but no response here or to private messages. At this point, folks, you need to log a complaint with Kickstarter. Odds are they won't do anything unless enough here complain.
So both of my front cameras work, to an extent. I haven't experienced any of the boot issues described in other comments, fortunately. The quality is potato-like, which is frustrating, but the microphones on both do not work at all.
I'm not sure if I'll use this as a replacement for my current dashcam, as even though the battery on that is dead and can only work when plugged in, the quality is better and the microphone works. I may decide to use the main camera here as a rear one, instead of the rear one provided.
But overall, very disappointed with this whole campaign. Definitely will not be buying off SDS again. It is very suspicious that they apparently tried to sell them on eBay first and the fact that there's another brand of camera, Korean Lupin, which looks exactly like this one (or this one look exactly like that one). Fishy...
Does anyone know about the GPS function which the clex allegedly has?

Found yet a new little problem with these things: the voltage cut-off doesn't actually work. Both cameras in both cars killed the battery. Very, very disappointing. Until that they were at least usable, but now we have to remember to manually start/stop these things. I can't tell you how displeased I am.
You guys have until Wednesday to tell me how to fix your broken product or i'll have to request a chargeback from my credit card company. its ridiculous that you sent me a broken product that wont even turn on and not offer solutions nor replacements
Anyone else noticing that the camera only records in 2 minute segments? That doesn't seem right to me. It should record a full session of driving in one segment unless interrupted by an event or manual trigger.

"Beta version" i don't know about you. But I didn't pay for a beta version. I paid for a full working version. And guess what I didn't get a complete working version that meets what they stated it was supposed to be.
@Dan, I think they are a fraud, this product was tried to get sold on ebay 1 year ago (http://goo.gl/eC94FE). Because it wasn't working as planned they tried to sell it on Kickstarter as a new product. They faked the production and let us think they where developing a new dashcam. Also the specs are totally not that was promised. It won't record HD, and the back camera is even VGA. The image quality is horrible and not something you would expect from a 2016 image chip (and as you experienced your self, out of focus). The fact they are not responding on email or these messages is highly suspicious. Also the fact that I received a broken unit like more backers is telling me that they are ripping us off. So my conclusion is that they are a fraud, they didn't tell us the truth, and sold us crap.
Kickstarter won't care less about us backers... they got there money already. I needed to wait 5 working days until I can file a charge back to my credit card. So tomorrow I'll be claiming my investment back. It will also be the last time I support anyone/anything ever again here on kickstarter.

I ordered one GPS antenna from Alabama.com and I received it last week from China. But......they sent one with a 3,5mm connector so I have not been able to use it. Found yet a new little problem with these things: the voltage cut-off doesn't actually work. Both cameras in both cars killed the battery. Very, very disappointing. Until that they were at least usable, but now we have to remember to manually start/stop these things. I can't tell you how displeased I am.

Anyone else noticing that the camera only records in 2 minute segments? That doesn't seem right to me. It should record a full session of driving in one segment unless interrupted by an event or manual trigger.

"Beta version" i don't know about you. But I didn't pay for a beta version. I paid for a full working version. And guess what I didn't get a complete working version that meets what they stated it was supposed to be.

@Dan, I think they are a fraud, this product was tried to get sold on ebay 1 year ago (http://goo.gl/eC94FE). Because it wasn't working as planned they tried to sell it on Kickstarter as a new product. They faked the production and let us think they where developing a new dashcam. Also the specs are totally not that was promised. It won't record HD, and the back camera is even VGA. The image quality is horrible and not something you would expect from a 2016 image chip (and as you experienced your self, out of focus). The fact they are not responding on email or these messages is highly suspicious. Also the fact that I received a broken unit like more backers is telling me that they are ripping us off. So my conclusion is that they are a fraud, they didn't tell us the truth, and sold us crap.

Kickstarter won't care less about us backers... they got there money already. I needed to wait 5 working days until I can file a charge back to my credit card. So tomorrow I'll be claiming my investment back. It will also be the last time I support anyone/anything ever again here on kickstarter.
