Asking for Trobils is a unique looking game with a round board, strong colors, and original art. The game has seven different resource pieces, three different types of cards, and hexagonal ship cards.
What is a Trobil? Trobils are space vermin that appear out of nowhere and begin destroying worlds.
Recently, they've appeared on the planet, Paradise, located in the O-Renj star system. Paradise is in peril, and it needs Trobil Hunters to help!
In Asking for Trobils, Players are competing Trobil Hunters trying to gather resources like traps, crystals, space slugs, ore, and more in order to capture the Trobils plaguing Paradise. Gather resources wisely, capture the most troublesome Trobils, and become the most successful Trobil Hunter in the galaxy!

On a player's turn they either place one ship on a location of the gameboard and interact with that location, or pick up all of their placed ships. Turns are quick, and the game moves rapidly while every decision can make or break you.
You go to locations to grab resources needed to either create more ships for you to place, add to your connections around the board, or pick up Trobil cards which have points and ultimately decide the winner of the game.
Note: The game will have ship tokens, not the plastic figures shown above, unless the stretch goal is hit.
- Backers get the game cheaper! MSRP is starting at $50, but may go up depending on which stretch goals are reached.
- Backers get the game first. We will not let the games be sold to anyone before Backers get theirs.
- We aren't a large company, and the game simply can't be made without reaching the funding goal.
- The more we receive here, the better the game will be with stretch goals. If you wait until after the Kickstarter to buy the game, it may not be as awesome without your support now. It'll still be pretty awesome though.
- We have a proven record of delivering with our last campaign, Evil Intent.
- We believe in open and direct communication, but we won't be spamming you with emails. Our updates will have reason and purpose.
- Some children in certain countries may weep if you don't back us. We can't say for sure which children or which countries, but a sad song will be playing and they will be looking directly into the camera.
Evil Intent was our first Kickstarter game! Everything has been sent and received by our backers! We offer backers of this project to grab a copy of Evil Intent in one of our tiers.
Why is it only open to the United States? The games are currently sitting in a warehouse in the United States. Shipping them internationally would be costly and not friendly for customs to both ourselves and our backers.
We will be shipping from several warehouses around the world making it cheaper and easier for us to ship internationally. That being said, some countries are still difficult to ship to. Please check below to see your shipping costs that may already added to the corresponding Tier.

MORE THAN ONE GAME
There's tier for two games and some have asked on international shipping, do they need to add the shipping cost twice? No you do not. Only add the shipping cost once per tier.
If you want more than two copies though, send us a message with your address and the amount of games and we'll give you an exact amount to add to the basic $42 tier.
Kraken Games was founded by Christian Strain and Erin McDonald and has already published their first game, Evil Intent! Asking for Trobils is their second game design with two more right on its heels.

We've completed an entire Kickstarter for our previous game, Evil Intent, and the backers of the project now have their games and accessories. We know that with each project comes different challenges, but we are growing and connecting with other individuals to minimize those risks.
We have a proven record of delivering with our Evil Intent campaign. We've connected with other designers who use Kickstarter (mainly the League of Gamemakers) who can offer advice and aid if needed.
