Hello Backers and Happy New Year,

At long last, "It Began in Red Hook," is finally finished. It was worth the wait. The contributing authors were really showing off. While it starts in Red Hook, the story twists through more than one alternate dimension to land in...well, you'll just have to read to find out.

After it's been proofread and digitized, the ebook will go out, C.S.E. Cooney will record the audio version, and our Hi Chancellor Diana M Aguilar will receive the one-of-a-kind print copy.

Here's what to expect in the e-book:

  • bios of the participating authors
  • A clean version of the story from beginning to end.
  • Another version of the story broken up by author, but without their names. You, the reader, try to guess who wrote each piece, then check your answers on the last page of the book. Sure you could cheat, nobody's watching, but where would be the fun in that?
  • Art! Fred Stesney, BSFW member and Kaleidocast published author will add a little something extra to the story. Check out his work here at  https://fredstesney.wordpress.com/

All this and a little more will be in the single print version of the story.

Meanwhile, the producers and I are hitting the studio hard, picking up and putting down heavy mics.
