"I am a Russian composer, and the land of my birth has inevitably influenced my temperament and outlook. I try to make my music speak simply and directly that which is in my heart at the time I am composing. If there is love there, or bitterness, or sadness, or religion, these moods become part of my music, and it becomes either beautiful or bitter or sad or religious. For music is as much a part of my living as breathing and eating. I compose music because I must give expression to my feeling, just as I talk because I must give utterance to my thoughts."

About Steven and Loretta Mento:
After playing Carnegie and Merkin Halls in NYC, a DVD demo was requested by International Prestige Agency; they closed in the 2008 market crash and left us and their other artists without representation. We need your help picking up the pieces and assisting other Prestige artists.
The Kimmel Center debut and the right media exposure and reviews may be just enough to get our suddenly stalled concert career up front and center.
Samples of our playing can be found on Youtube under Loretta Mento, Duo Mento, and Steven Mento. Live performances of new compositions can be found under Steven Mento as well. Loretta's playing of the Mozart Fantasie in d minor was selected by Sony Films and used in the movie Seven Pounds with Will Smith.
If successful we will assist some of the remarkable talents of the former Prestige Agency in sharing their gifts with the world as well as other musical stars we discover.
All funds exceeding our goal will be used to present a Prestige Artists collaborative concert with remaining funds donated equally to the Bay-Atlantic Symphony and these A rated charities: Earthworks, Union of Concerned Scientists, Conservation International, Food and Water Watch and pending charitable organizations.
